The most stress-free floating trip we’ve had so far. Personalized help throughout the process of planning our trip and convenient location near steel creek! They are a smaller outfitter and were not the first google search either, but they were the only ones that actually returned any of my calls or emails trying to book this trip (busy season leading up to the 2024 solar eclipse). With the much more personalized service and similar prices compared to other companies, Rio Buffalo is the obvious choice and I just didn’t know it, but I am glad I do now - will be using them for our future trips and recommending to friends and family.

We rented two kayaks and paid for the vehicle shuttle service. Everything was great! Check-in was painless. The boats were waiting for us when we got down there, as well as the life vests and bungee cords. We interacted with three employees who were all very nice and helpful. I'd definitely recommend them. Thank you for making our last minute Memorial Day float trip possible!

I don't give many reviews, but I have to give 5 stars to Jeff and Kara Mae at Rio Buffalo Outfitters for the great service they provided. I went with a BIG group to paddle the Buffalo River in May—we needed canoes, kayaks, and rafts during one of the busiest times on the river. Most outfitters in the area weren't able to provide all of the boats we needed. When I called Rio Buffalo, Jeff said they had everything we needed and more! The canoes they gave us were some of the best on the river and we were able to rent coolers, cup holders, floating koozies, and lightweight paddles from Jeff. They also gave us life jackets and trash bags to keep us safe and the river clean. We met them at the drop-in point and they did all of the legwork putting the boats in the water. We had an incredible day paddling, stopping at the waterfalls, fishing, and swimming in the river. Once we got to the take-out, Rio Buffalo Outfitters was there waiting for us. They had shuttled our cars from the drop-in point to the take-out so that we could just hop in the cars and go! There was no need to wait for a ride back to where we started, and besides pulling the boats out of the river we didn't have to do much else. I would definitely rent from Rio Buffalo again, it was a great experience, and THANK YOU to Jeff and Kara Mae for helping our big group have one of the best days on the river ever!!!

Rio Buffalo is the BEST! Thank you for taking care of us and giving us some pointers on side hikes. There are some great spots to check out, we really enjoyed our experience with Rio Buffalo Outfitters. We will definitely be back!!

Rio was the most helpful outfitters place I have worked with! Trying to coordinate 19 people was a bit hectic but they helped me get everyone set up! They also sent me all the pins and locations that were needed! I really enjoyed working with Kara and Jeff!

We floated Ponca to Pruitt over Mother’s Day weekend. We’ve used other outfitters in the past and this was of equal service and satisfaction. We didn’t make reservations when we checked in Thursday around noon and they were booked up, so the other outfitter sent us to these guys. The girl that checked us is was friendly and helpful and the fella that launched us at the river was very knowledgeable about the area and what we were wanting to do. They even communicated during our trip. Both vehicles were properly and safely shuttled. Canoe was in great shape. Would use them again.
