Front Desk Staff were extremely helpful and polite.
Room wise, were disappointing.

Heater wasn't working and an engineer was needed to resolve the issue

Room Service didn't happened until a phone call was made to request
when room service was done, Shampoo and Body was not refilled.

Morning of check out, House Keeping were banging at your doors asking "Are You Checking Out Today?"

The hotel was recently acquired by IHG. First thing: the staff are fantastic, truly above and beyond: professional helpful attentive. Now the space: rooms are fine, but we lacked hot water one day, air conditioning went out the next. No automatic refills on water or coffee in room (altho you can ask for it). There is currently an outside vendor chain saw-ing a tree directly outside my window (8 am), they ran out of supplies for restaurant and bar, often bar spaces have no one working they are understaffed. Spa on site same: great massage! One of the best! but hot tubs and steam room and credit card machines all out of order. Just really really not worth the price. I feel for the overworked staff who truly do their best to make things work.

The hotel was very cute and the staff were super nice. I will definitely be coming back again.

Pros: The ambience is really nice. Lots to do on the property. They have several pools and it's close to a lot of good restaurants.

Cons: We stayed in building 5 which was being renovated. It was hard to find the elevator which is bad if your traveling with children or the elderly. The carpet could use changing in that building as well.

We stayed at this hotel for the Dinah Shore. In terms of positive points, the resort is well located, only a few minutes drive from downtown. It has two wonderful pool spots, and a few green spaces that are nice to lounge in. Our room's AC, contrary to others, was working well, and the room was spacious, with a nice view on the quieter pool. There also is a cafe, and a little restaurant on site.

Unfortunately however, this was all dampened by the unfriendliness of the reception staff who were rude, impatient, and had close to no customer experience skills - that is including the manager. The manager's sarcasm towards us really wasn't well-received and perhaps a review of customer management best practices might be needed.

This is the worst hotel I have ever encountered. To begin with we had a room with no hot water. Then next day moved to a room with no cold water. The place is understaffed. The staff that are there just huddle in small groups and talk and provide no service. TONS of deferred maintenance. I am not paying one cent for this room. Engineer commented that hot water mixed with cold has been a problem for days. Service was so bad and inattentive in restaurant that they gave me coffee (all I ordered) for free. They are overwhelmed and have no idea what they are doing. I cannot imagine how the California attorney general or IHG allows such a dump to be run. STAY AWAY. The place has enormous problems starting with mechanical problems and then really centering on staff. It was nearly empty (what a surprise). They even took a deposit for damage in advance to the room - what nonsense, they must have horrible guests to do that. /s/John Burns

Stayed here recently for a work trip. Cleanliness was good for the most part. Biggest issue was the bad smell of the rooms. It smelled of mildew and it was not only my room, co-worker rooms in different buildings had the same smell. Additionally, my bathroom had no hand soap or lotion and when I tried calling housekeeping (multiple times) there was no pick-up. Lastly, my door was left unlocked and ajar by staff when they dropped off a microwave to my room. I do not recommend staying here.

Staff is generally friendly and helpful!! Rating is NOT a reflection of staff. Overpriced compared to other hotels in the area that are much nicer: rooms are dirty, ripped bedding and towels, didn't have hot water for 2 days, and overall needs a major renovation. Had to change rooms due to marijuana smoke filling the building. Pool bathrooms were not functional - no water in mens restroom, shower handle broke off in women's room, no cleaning supplies in gym. Please add lighting to pool steps and walkways.

Dinah Shore 2024 was supposed to be off the hook this year. BUT… as we got to the hotel, (which is now under new ownership of The Riviera) there were long lines to check in because everyone was checking in at 4pm when we were allowed to. Only one person checking in a line of about 70 people waiting! Then we were informed that the air conditioning is broken. Rooms were 90+degrees!! We switched rooms to find a building that wasn’t cooking. Still, our room was stuck at 78° and it wasn’t getting any cooler after an hour! Mind you, the temperature outside right now is 112°. We were told by one of the Dinah Shore managers that we could switch to a different hotel if the temperature is too much to handle. Which defeats the whole purpose of being at a resort where all the events are! This establishment is insanely unprepared for all of these women who came from all over to enjoy the weekend. 15,000 people are expected this year!! I was told by the woman checking us in that the hotel director was new and didn’t know what the hell he was doing. For the employees to be talking badly of their manager says a lot. I really hope they get their stuff together! Or else this weekend is a bust!
