We had the best experience paddle boarding on the river! If this is your first time, this place is a must because the water is so calm and you don’t have to struggle coming back. They also offer kayak rentals and tours. Sam the owner, set everything up for us and gave us instructions on how to maneuver around the river, to make it an enjoyable experience for us. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

The owners Sam and Holly were so welcoming, felt great to have my first Kayaking experience with them. Sam was very patient with any questions we had. Nice Kayaks, nice experience. "Grizzly bear" the doggo stole all the limelight though! He was happy to play fetch with Paddles from the river ?. Next time i am in Arkansas, i know where to return to.

My partner and I rented a tandem kayak and had the best experience in the Little Maumelle River! The water’s calm so a very nice path. Our instructor was awesome and super friendly. I definitely suggest giving it a try if your looking for activities is Little Rock!

We thoroughly enjoyed the brief excursion on the river. The owner of the facility is a nice personable guy. I would highly recommend this bike/kayak rental business.

A restroom facility (even a Port-a-Potty) would be extremely helpful as there is not anything on site currently (10/2024).

I would further add, that it would be a great boon to his business if it was possible to rent the boat upriver and float/paddle to the float trip take out point at the business. I believe that he is trying to get something worked out with the city on this issue. I also personally enjoy a stocked float shop to shop in. You simply cannot not shop/spend more money, when a float shop is not available.

I wanted to do something different and exciting to celebrate my birthday. So, I booked the sunset kayaking trip with Rocktown Outfitters. Kayaking the Maumelle lake more than exceeded my expectations and I am looking forward to the next time I can go back to tour the Arkansas river. The experience was even better because I got to share it with my best friend. I have raved about my experience and now I have other people interested in joining me on my next trip. I loved the experience of kayaking into the sunset and feeling like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of life. You are surrounded by beautiful nature, calming waters, moon and stars, and wildlife in the trees. Trust me, if you want to do something REALLY fun for a date night don’t hesitate to book with them. Our guide was EXCEPTIONAL! I felt completely safe! My 54th birthday kayaking trip is definitely going down as one of my top favorite things I’ve done! You will not be disappointed! I would’ve liked to have more time on the water for a picnic or just lazily enjoying more of the scenery. Since it’s getting darker earlier I would suggest leaving at 5:30 p.m. so that you have time to just relax and unplug from everything. I think I have found my new favorite Saturday night adventure! Thank you Rocktown for helping me make my birthday a memorable day that I will cherish for a lifetime!

We had a great experience. Sam (the owner) was awesome - very professional, polite, patient, and funny. He had everything taken care of, and we felt very comfortable and informed. The equipment was very good quality. The location was convenient and the scenery was superb. We will definitely rent kayaks again with Rock Town River Outfitters!

We made a reservation online for 2 E-bikes for 2 hours. This was the first E-bike ride for my husband, 2nd for me. My husband has a bad knee but had no problem biking the 18+ miles! It was a great ride, the people at Rock Town are great to work with. I highly recommend this for families, groups or individuals looking for an adventure!
