We had a wonderful time at the train museum. Wayne Ruland was an excellent guide who did a great job engaging with our children. He has a gift for engaging with special needs children. The museum is packed with running trains, exhibits and scratch-built accessories. His guided tour was entertaining and informative with a touch of inspiration. I(we) highly recommend this museum for everyone; whether you know much about trains or not, you will enjoy it!

What a remarkable rare jewel hidden in Heber Springs Arkansas!! Mr.Wayne gave us a tour of the the upstairs and downstairs , it is truly amazing the work the time and effort well spent on the set up of all the trains , tracks, cities, countries and little towns around the tracks! We will definitely spread the word about this experience and bring our grandkids for a tour very soon!!

We had our 1st visit & we're not disappointed. We enjoyed Mr. Ruland's warmth & his passion for the trains. He interacts so well with children & is so full of information. He is so encouraging & wants to engage children in learning & finding their passion too. Painstaking details, multiple trains & scenes, beautiful, handcrafted woodwork, be prepared to stay awhile. There's a lot to see in this small 2 story place!

Wayne and his father made many of the items in the museum by hand from scrounged parts and others are donated items. While we were there, he had two different 6-year-old children show up and he is wonderful with them. He shows them some of the stuff his father and he made and encourages them to do it as well.

There are trains, train cars, everywhere. There are tickets and schedules from trains in the US tacked to the wall, ceiling, etc. everywhere that there is not a train. The tracks are multiple levels on the top and some running on a second level below that as well.

It is not just for kids, but it will certainly make you remember your childhood!

We had an awesome time visiting this personal train museum. The owner is very enthusiastic and really knowledgeable. He gets the kids involved while giving a brief tour before letting you roam around to look at everything.

This is something every child should experience, and that's what it is an enjoyable, adventurous, breath taking experience. If you like trains or not you will feel like a kid again as you are taken on a tour of the dreams that made toy trains and the passion behind every wire, light, and piece of wood. Plan on going back because this place had more than you can see in a day. This is a multi trip experience that will not only teach your children valuable life lessons, but give them new dreams at the same time. I will definitely be back and I may or may not bring my kids next time. I would advise going early to really get the full experience.

What an awesome display of creativity and ingenuity! This is NOT a bunch of store-bought train sets strung together. Every piece in this museum has a story that leads back to Mr. Wayne, his brother, his father, or one of the many people he's helped along the way. Almost all hand-built stuff. I wish we could have stayed longer as I'm sure there's a lot we missed.
