I have been a customer of the Sachem Card and Party shop for more than 30 years. I am downgrading my previous 5 star rating to 3 stars.

Recently I brought in a small print for framing. I asked for an estimate of the total charge and was given a price of $120-130. The total price was $202.07 including tax. I did not say anything as I assumed it was a simple miscalculation.

A few days later I called Tom and told him I had a 16x20 framed print which they did for me many years ago that was covered in regular glass and I would like him to replace the glass with non-glare. He quoted me a price of $10 over the telephone. I drove it down immediately and the glass was replaced as I waited.
When I asked for the total charge including tax I was told, “It’s $30 because we used a “special” Non-Glare and UV glass.” I reminded him that he quoted me a price of $10 over the phone just an hour earlier. Then Tom asked Chris to confirm what he had just said to me. Chris responded affirmatively ….as he looked away. The total charge with tax was now $31.91

The next day I called Michael’s (next to the Fresh Market). I asked for their quote to replace a 16x20 regular glass panel with Non-Glare-UV glass. The price given to me was $10

The best place on the shoreline for quality framing! I know my photos are safe with Chris and the staff. He returns them framed beautifully. Also great place for holiday gifts, tourist gifts and birthdays. I hope this place is here for a long long time. So glad we have a shop like this in Guilford.

Much better selection of cards than the local grocery stores and pharmacies. Also found a few things I didn't realize I was looking for until I saw them. Very nice and helpful service too.
