Thank you Sagres Vacations for a wonderful visit to Sao Miguel – Azores.. a truly magical place with breathtaking vistas around every corner! We are very grateful for the excellent advise & planning by Patricia which placed us in a superb hotel in a great location and especially for hooking us up with our tour guide extraordinaire, Rui! Rui is by far the best guide that we have ever had in all our travels and I can't imagine a better host anywhere. The personal attention we received was phenomenal and we felt so lucky to have a tour guide who was so charming, caring, & attentive. Rui was an excellent driver and the car was always immaculate. He was also very knowledgeable about the best highlights to visit & the optimal times to see them and he entertained us with colorful stories of the history of the island. Rui was always on time & stood on his head to make sure that we were comfortable, that we got to see places that had personal meaning for us, and that we ate at places that would provide us with typical delicious Azorean foods so that we were immersed in the culture & spirit of Sao Miguel. We can't think of a single thing that he could have done better & we highly recommend Sagres Vacations & Rui to anyone who is planning a visit to Sao Miguel!

My vacation to Portugal was amazing and it was all because this travel agency saw to everything. From guides,to hotels,to tours. Our experience would not have been as wonderful without their expertise in all things Portugal. We thank you so much for everything. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Sagres. This was primarily due to senior management not supporting and communicating with us with both accurate and timely information while traveling. On multiple instances they provided us with poor and clearly wrong advice that was not well researched and lacked important detail. I strongly advise anyone traveling internationally to thoroughly and independently research how the government of your traveling destination handles positive COVID tests and not rely on Sagres resources.
This was a trip that had 13 participants and cost approximately $45,000., paid in advance. My immediate family of 5, from the group of 13 had to fund an approximate additional $5,000. This additional cost was due primarily to the rebooking of additional return flights home after Sagres could not competently arrange for transfers with the airlines on a timely basis.
We personally felt that good business practices, honesty and our personal safety were clearly not priorities for Sagres.
