The St George is not exactly the worst place in the world to live, but not really the best, either. The current property manager (Christin Coffin) is an absentee manager who is simply never there, and just not good at her job in the rare event that she IS present. The rest of the staff is actually quite nice, however. The studio apartments are very small (200 - 220 sq ft), quite expensive starting at $1500 pr month, but they do come semi furnished and with a kitchenette.

There ALWAYS seem to be plumbing problems, too. Seriously. I recently lived there for well over a decade and I swear - at least once a month there was some major issue with the plumbing that always involved shutting the water off for several hours, or more often the entire day. It was very, very annoying.

The location being right downtown is rather convenient, though, as most everything is within walking distance. But then at the same time you live downtown, and there's loads of crime (mostly property crimes and pretty severe harassment from drugged out homeless people).

So all in all it's basically an OK place to live if you're either a student, or someone who is only going to be there for a short period of time. I would not recommend living there with a family (way too small for that), looking to start a family, newly married or just looking for a safe, affordable long-term living situation. There are just too many better alternate options out there if you're any of the latter.
