We had so much fun searching for whales with the crew! We loved the small group size compared to other boat companies in town. We learned a ton and got to see some of the most amazing creatures. We found 10+ blue whales, 2 humpbacks, and lots of common dolphins. The crew had blankets for everyone when the high speeds got chilly which was really thoughtful. Highly recommend Santa Barbara Whale Watch!

Very nice excursion. Saw lits of dolphins and a few whales. Went to Santa Cruz Island and very close to the painted cave. The food on board was outstanding - better than in some restaurants. I had a BLT and my son a burger and both were freshly cooked on the boat. They also have various drinks including alcohol. Toilets were clean and not tiny. Overall great experience

Our adventure with Santa Barbara Whale Watch was excellent! The staff were incredibly knowledgable and friendly, and we really felt privileged to learn from experts in such a small group setting. The boat was modern, comfortable, and enabled an incredibly up-close-and-personal experience. Once we reached a popular feeding spot, we floated only very briefly until we saw three massive blue whales. It was truly incredible to be so close and have the opportunity just chill and watch these incredible animals. On the way back, we cruised along with a friendly and spirited pod of dolphins.

I highly recommend going on adventure with Santa Barbara Whale Watch, and personally, I hope to have the opportunity to come back someday!

Disclaimer; I'm Dutch, so teribbly blunt and brutally honest.

This was my 4th whalewatching trip (been in Iceland, South-Africa and Taiwan before) and I tought I was cursed, because I never saw a whale before.

But let me tell you, the curse has lifted! This trip was a-ma-zing.. We saw hundreds of dolphins en more then 15 whales. And because the boat is not that big, you can get really close, almost touching them.

Apart from that the crew was so relaxed, and know a lot about the environment. We got all the time to look, take pictures and ask questions.

So long story short; the best!

My girlfriend and I went out with SB whale watching and were really impressed with their operation. Adam and Devin were super friendly, boat was clean and comfortable and even had a bathroom. My girlfriend had never seen a whale having lived on the California coast for many years, and they put us next to a mom and calf blue whale within the first hour! Amazing day on the water and would recommend for a more intimate and relaxed whale watching experience.

Lovely captains, a gorgeous boat, and the best tour in Santa Barbara. It’s much smaller than the larger tours, and the boat is small enough that you can easily see over the side.

Highly recommend.

The boat was small and amazingly comfortable. And it traveled very fast. The tour was only for 6 people so it felt very cozy. We saw so many whales ? that I can’t remember how manny. Blue whales, humpback whales, and Fin whales. We got so close to a pack of 3 humpback whales. And there was a baby whale too! I had so much fun! I highly recommend this tour to anyone.
