Had a blast at Schack’s! We did the seven mile kayak rental. The owners are very knowledgeable and nice. They provide shuttle transportation to the river and have an emergency service where they will come get you if you’re having a medical problem, etc. on the river. The kayaks were very comfortable, but make sure to bring your wet gear, we got soaked! Had the opportunity to see wildlife, including Canadian geese, ducks, vultures, and fish. Would definitely recommend!

We called the store, and they were willing to come in on their day off to show us a Brooklyn Kayak FK285 that we were interested in. Because they also use those for their rentals, we got lots of tips and support when deciding which one to buy.

I recommend them for their friendliness, knowledge of kayaking, and great pricing. I am thrilled with the kayak and super excited to get it out on the water.

I got my BKC PK 11 pedal kayak here today. It’s a very nice kayak at a good price. The store is a nice clean location on the Ohio River in New Richmond. The owners are nice and made sure to answer all my questions before I purchased and never made me feel rushed. I will be using their kayak shuttle services soon

We had a group of 8 from our law school book with Shack's Yaks, and we had a phenomenal time! This is a great option for both beginner kayakers or advanced kayakers. Super friendly and will most definitely be going to Shack's Yaks again! Also, a gorgeous destination!
