⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sea Blue Hotel Oceanfront is a hidden gem! It’s a little rustic, but everything is so well-maintained and thoughtfully done. The list of amenities is impressive – from rooftop coffee and homemade goodies to afternoon tea and pie. The vibe is laid-back, and you can park once and walk everywhere – no stress, just relaxation.

The people were fantastic – a great mix of young and old – and the rooftop views were absolutely stunning. It feels like a perfect escape without breaking the bank. If you ever find yourself in this charming seaside village, this is the place to stay. You’ll park your car and forget about the world for a while. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hotel. Eddie the Manager was superb and so friendly, would do anything to help. 6 of us were let down on a pre booked hotel and we moved to Sea Blue Hotel and Eddie saved our holiday. Fantastic location and fully recommended. Best hotel in the area, comfortable and relaxing.

We stayed here for our final hotel during a 10 day Route 66 trip. For that purpose, it is a great option. Once we finished the route, we wanted to be on the beach with the ability to walk to the pier. The room was simple but clean. There was some ambiguity on if we could check-in early or not, which caused some confusion, but they were nice enough to give us their last parking spot earlier in the day before we checked-in, so we didn't have to worry about finding parking for our car after the long drive.

This is my second time staying here and I love it! The rooms are very old school California which is pretty awesome! It’s great when we have family in town there is 2 separate bedrooms and a roll away bed. And the views are breathtaking!! And it’s central to everything! We will be back again! Love the sea blue!

Your basically paying to be on the pier. The rooms where a little dirty. It would be perfect if the price fit the value. The hotel is small and older built so it wont be luxury. I loved the service and how easy it was too reserve parking. I was so worried about the parking but he reserve my spot. I think a cheaper hotel stay would be more sufficient. I loved being able to walk downstairs and be on the pier. It wasn't bad but, Santa Monica itself is becoming pretty ghetto. If you need the cheapest on the beach I would chose Sea Blue hotel over the other cheap ones. I would stay again. I didn't bring up the dirty shower curtain because it was for one day. The staff where so welcoming and sweet. I would book again if I come back too Santa Monica. There was a stabbing after eating at the pier so I think Malibu will be the beach I go to next time, I am in LA. Its a cute set up and quick access to the beach is what I wanted.

I stayed a couple of nights at the Sea Blue Hotel in June 2024, and it was lovely! The service was absolutely wonderful--I had driven there from Arizona, and had an issue with my car that the hotel staff helped me with and was SUCH a relief! They were so kind and it meant the world to me.

The location was ideal because I was traveling alone and had wanted to take photos of the pier in the evening, and had always been concerned about being out there alone. It is such a short walk from the hotel to the beach that I was finally able to get out there without walking far alone.

Clean room and a lovely view--could see more of the ocean than I had expected! Great Mexican food two doors down.

Paid for 4 nights but only stayed 1 and was so miserable, it was in the 40's and no heat. Front desk gave us a small portable heater and said we couldnt use a bigger one because it would trip the power. Blankets are thin and bathroom door doesn't latch.

This felt like such a waste of money!!! If you want to sleep well, don’t go here. For almost $200, it was rubbish… light pouring through the windows (I had to tape trash bags to the window to reduce the amount of light, cause it was sooo bright at night. still didn’t work ), paper thin walls, loud in the middle of the night with parties, awful shower experience (showers from what seem like the 1960s very low water pressure and would go from cold to scalding, without rhyme or reason). I was hoping to find a relaxing and comfy place to sleep and this was not it… If you’re a sensitive sleeper, find somewhere else.

Pros: the location and the woman at the front desk were great.
