Worth every penny, could not have asked for a better winery tour. The places picked were perfect and I we could not picked them on our on. One was closed the day we went and they opened specifically for this company.

They make sure every second is well spent, and we felt every thing was thought of to make this experience amazing.

Shaun was an exceptional host, and very knowledgeable. He shared a ton of interesting history alongside the different wineries.

This was our first tour with Sea to Summit, and my husband and I had a wonderful and educational experience with the Williamette Valley Wine tour. We're from California and often visit wineries and take tours, but this one was the best by far. Our tour guide, Shahn, a 2nd level sommelier and grew up in the Willamette Valley, was incredibly knowledgeable about wines and local history.
We learned about the rich soils and winemaking history of the Willamette Valley, as well as its present and future. The valley's soil is unique due to ancient volcanic activity and the Missoula Floods, which brought mineral-rich sediments that are perfect for viticulture. These elements create an ideal terroir for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other grape varieties, giving the wines distinct flavors and complexity.
Shahn also shared insights into the evolution of winemaking in the region, from its early days to its current status as a world-renowned wine-producing area. We discussed the innovative techniques being used by local winemakers to enhance the quality of their wines and the sustainable practices being adopted to preserve the environment. Looking to the future, Shahn highlighted the potential for new grape varieties to be introduced and the continued growth of boutique wineries that focus on small-batch, high-quality production.
We visited three wineries: Rex Hill/A to Z, Torii Mor, and Tresori. Shahn brought lunch from the Red Hill Market, which we enjoyed at Torii Mor during our wine tasting.Rex Hill is a large winery with delicious Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Torii Mor's Pinots were a bit too young, but their Viognier port wine was good. Tresori, a small "micro" winery on the slopes of Chehalem Ridge, was peaceful and beautiful. Although the wine steward at each winery explained the wines, Shahn added even more insights. We ended up joining Rex Hill and Tresori wine club.
The Mercedes 4x4 van was comfortable, making the tour even more enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Thank you, Shahn.

My husband and I had a fantastic time with Shahn this last weekend! We loved riding in the comfortable sprinter van and learning about soil types, geological impacts to the Willamette Valley, weather and of course wine as we traversed to our destinations.

We stopped at three equally amazing and equally different wineries picked by Sea to Summit to enjoy flights of wine and had a great time with the other group in our party.

We’re locals, and would wholeheartedly do this trip again through Sea to Summit. We both learned a ton and had a blast! Highly recommend!

Choose Sea to Summit Adventures for a really great tour of the Columbia River Gorge. Beautiful waterfalls that are easily accessible. Great scenery. We saw Sea Lions, Osprey, Salmon and Sturgeon on our half day tour. Our guide Shawn,(Sean?),was super knowledgeable, and a safe driver, whose love for this area, and all of Oregon, was very obvious. Highly Recommend!

I did a wine tour starting from Portland which was recommended to me to do while in Oregon.

Josh, the tour operator, is fun, extremely knowledgeable on the area and will take you to awesome places. You will not be disappointed especially if you're interested in trying a few wines. We had a great day out and would be happy to do it again.

The van used is a spacious Mercedes Benz and Josh happily organises going to specific wineries with amazing views and delicious wines.

I'd definitely recommend if you're solo, in a couple or taking some family members on a trip.

I looked at some of the low star reviews and it seems as though they are very unreasonable or fabricated after expressing rage on a bad day.

Josh, have a Venmo or something so people can tip you! We would've been happy to but we are barely ever holding cash due to the pandemic.

We had a great experience working with Joshua at Sea to Summit on a wine tour through Willamette Valley. He was very knowledgeable about the area and different vineyards and took us to 3 wineries (large, medium, and small). Would highly recommend Joshua as a guide to anyone looking to come to the Portland area. Thank you for such a lovely experience!!

Friends of mine and I did the Willamette Wine Tour and we would HIGHLY recommend! The length of time, convenient pick up spot, and wineries Joshua selects are all chosen with attention to detail and are all so different.
