Today was our 2nd visit to Marco Lucchesi's Section wines in 2yrs, this is one passionate wine maker! He expects and accepts nothing less than perfection. Marco's passion for is wines is amazing and you can taste it in every sip.

Marco and Section Wines are fantastic. This man is a true winemaker who is as passionate as anyone we have ever met. We saw him as part of a tour of boutique wineries. If we could have skipped the rest of the tour and spent the entire day with him, we would have done so.

When you are in the Santa Ynez area, make time to visit him. It is something you must do. He operates out of a warehouse where he produces his wine. That was a unique and very neat experience. It is quite the contrast to big name places with multi million dollar tasting rooms. A simple table in his barrel room was all we needed. He makes the experience so personal.

Marco, his wine and the experience he provides is without equal in California (granted I haven't been to ALL the wineries here but I've done very good work covering the central coast reguon). He is a true craftsman with his wine and the resulting quality is evident in the results.

He is extremely passionate and he takes his passion into his wines where he holds himself to the highest standards. He is from Italy and grew up in a restaurant family so his standards are not only high, he has his Italian pride on the line too and I appreciate how seriouslyhe takes it. This results in tasty tasty delightful wines for me to enjoy!

Set an appointment to taste wines. Got multiple e-mails and texts reminding me of the appointment. Showed up to industrial park with no signage. ( Not what I was expecting, but maybe this would be an interesting garagista experience). I was able to find a helpful guy who reached Marco and told us he forgot!
Hope this guy has good wine because the customer experience could not get much worse.
