Serena is nothing short of amazing! I was planning a large traditional Nigerian wedding reception and I knew early on that I would need professional assistance. My venue offered an event coordinator, but I knew I needed extra assistance outside of that. I came across Serena’s page and felt so captured by her welcoming, kind and bubbly demeanor. I contacted and scheduled a consultation with Serena and was instantly impressed by her promptness and professionalism. We hired Serena to help with month of wedding coordination as well as assistance with seeking a few other vendors. After hiring Serena, I instantly felt at ease and knew that she would be available every step of the way. She started contacting vendors the next day after signing the contract, and kept close communication throughout the process of booking the vendors. Although we hired her for month of coordination, she was always available with her guidance and suggestions. When the month of coordinating began, I knew I could hand over everything to Serena, and we’d be in good hands. We had several virtual meetings discussing our wedding timeline, and she made sure to contact every vendor and assure that everything was in place. The communication was superb. Our wedding reception was nothing short of spectacular, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to Serena! We could not have done it without Serena! When I first got engaged, most former brides I spoke with insisted that we hire a wedding coordinator, especially those who didn’t have one. Being from a Mexican family, it’s sort of tradition to have all of your extended family pitch in to help, but we really wanted to limit that so that they could enjoy the night with us. That’s where Serena came in!
She took over 4 weeks before our wedding (Oct 2023), and it couldn’t have come at a better time. This is probably the most stressful time leading up to a wedding, and I, the bride, started getting panic attacks due to wedding and work stress. So Serena worked with my now husband for about 3 weeks and helped to guide and advise him so I wasn’t stressed with all the details. She was communicative, organized, and very accommodating of our vision.
On the day of our wedding, she helped us buy new ribbon for corsages, transported all of our prepped decor to the venue (which only had a 2-hour setup window!!), and worked with all our vendors to ensure everything was in place. Whenever I needed her that night, I would quickly scan for her, and would immediately find her as she was always within my eye-line and ready to help throughout the night.
Looking back, I would definitely hire her again, except I would hire her to step in sooner in the planning process, like 8-12 weeks prior to the event, to minimize stress.

Serena was my day of coordinator last month and she did a fabulous job of making my wedding vision come to life the day of the wedding. She was quick to communicate and answer questions and was always very positive and up beat. We enjoyed having her take care of our most special day!

A friend of ours who had gotten married gave us only one advice - invest in a wedding coordinator, whatever you do, make sure you get one. As a DIY Bride, I felt we really did not need one, "I could do it". But as it got closer, I kept remembering the advice and decided to look into it. We found Serena among other coordinators. Some where less expensive and some were more. Our budget was $1500. In the end, after speaking with Serena, we loved her flexibility, transparency, friendliness and my now husband loved her organization. We were concerned she did not speak Spanish as most of our guest spoke Spanish, but having her assistant who spoke Spanish helped and did not affect her work. Overall, As a past bride and now wife looking back, I pass on the same advice - get a wedding coordinator and if you can, get Serena! For transparency, we got her as our day of coordinator (last month before the day) and she was $300 over our budget but it was completely worth it as a DIY bride and somewhat on a budget. And if budget is an issue, I would reccomend still reaching out, she geniunely loves what she does and may be able to work something out. Thank you so much Serena!
