Shasta Caverns is a great adventure if you have a couple hours and can walk up many steps. There is a place to end early for those who would rather not continue. You start with a boat ride across the lake, then a bus ride up the hill to the cave entrance. The guide made the stories about the caverns entertaining. She also gave insightful info about the cave structures and processes that formed the caverns. This is a tour I’d like to do again.

We had a great time! Staff was so friendly and welcoming! Our tour guide knew alot about the caves and the history surrounding the mountains. There are a lot of stairs to climb but the views are worth it! Would definitely go again.

I didn't even know this was there. It's 40 bucks, you take a boat over, then a bus ride up then a tour of the caverns. Its a great experience. The guides and drivers are nice and kind. Great trip for families. There is stairs but I dis them with 3 weeks out from a heart surgery and a torn mcl.

A uniquely situated cavern near Mount Shasta. Once you reach the visitor center and get your tickets, a short boat ride followed by a bus ride takes you to the caverns. It is not as big as the Luray Caverns in Virginia, but definitely it has its own charm. A must visit place. One needs to allocate around two hours to complete the visit.

The boat ride is short and sweet. The bus ride takes us through an elevation of over 600 feet!
Please have a jacket handy, especially on a cold day.

We had an excellent visit. It has been 15 years since our last and it was good to see how well they are keeping this place alive. The staff and docent were very considerate of the different visitors and made sure everyone felt safe and ready for an adventure.

My mother and I visited and she loved it. Take a light sweater as it is cold in there. Enjoy the cave!
