Hiring Jess of Shine Events as our wedding planner was the best decision we made for our wedding (and that’s saying a lot, since everything was perfect!). A great planner was critical for us since it was a destination wedding, and we knew from our first intro call that Jess was the real deal and exactly what we were looking for.

From the very beginning she made planning as stress-free as possible. She helped us find the best vendors while staying within our budget, she was impeccably organized, making sure we were on schedule for all payments and purchases, and she always had helpful advice when making decisions. She went above and beyond, even storing my wedding dress for me when my tailor was not able to hold onto it the last couple months before our wedding day!

Day of, Jess and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes and executed everything perfectly. Everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when and we stayed on schedule the entire day. I wasn’t stressed or worried about logistics for a single moment, because I knew Jess had everything under control. She thought of everything, even making sure a box of dessert was packed up for us at the end of the night, since we were too busy dancing to eat any!

Jessica made my wedding dreams a reality. I was so nervous planning an out of state wedding (Living in Chicago, wedding in Flagstaff). Jessica was so organized and on top of literally every aspect of the wedding - there is SO much. It was the BEST money we spent on our wedding hiring Shine Events. We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out and I truly attribute the peace I felt leading up to it and day of to Jess.

Truly the best decision I made when planning my wedding was hiring Jess. There is not a single thing I would change about our wedding day and we owe that all to Jess and her team. One look at the @shineeventsaz instagram will show you that Jess killls it when it comes to creating/designing a beautiful wedding, however I could write a 5 paragraph essay on all the other reasons why Jess is amazing and everyone should hire her… but to save you all time here are my top 3 reasons I believe Shine Events stands out as a wedding planner.

1. Vendor Recommendations - Arguably one of the most important items, and the one that Jess absolutely knocked out of the park, was every single vendor recommendation she gave. From photo and video down to our officiant and linens, we trusted Jess’s recommendations and they exceeded our expectations. Jess listened to our wants and needs and did a great job of recommending vendors within our budget who would fit not just our wedding “vibe and design” but my husband and I’s personalities as well. In every vendor meeting we were apart of it was clear how well respected and liked Jess is, and that is such a testament to the way she conducts business.
2. Consultation and planning- Jess has a wealth of wedding knowledge and has mastered the balance of being consultative on “best practices” while reminding us that it’s ultimately our day and to choose what felt right to us. Never once did a question, idea or decision we made feel judged by Jess. She is organized, detail oriented and methodical in her planning, while also being easy going and flexible when last minute changes came through. She showed immense grace when I had delayed responses on items I owed her, while still ensuring everything was on track. I truly never felt an ounce of stress during this process and we owe that to Jess taking on all of this so we could focus on what really mattered - having fun!
3. Time and commitment - I know wedding planners are freaking busy, but Jess somehow made us feel like we always had her full attention whenever we needed it. I can specifically remember sitting on a Zoom call for over an hour with Jess as we scrolled bridesmaid dress options as I struggled to make a decision. The wedding planning process is a long and personal one, and having a planner who makes you feel valued, heard, seen and cared for on a personal level was so important to us!

So in case I haven’t said it clear enough, choose Jess as your wedding planner and I can ensure you that you will have the best day ever. Thank you Shine Events for making our wedding dreams come true!
