Our go-to for a fun visit to the area. The rooms are clean. Beds are comfy. Love the patio. Great price. (Note: Booking.com member and receive a room upgrade) We enjoy the little guilty pleasure of donuts for breakfast. Love that it is pet friendly. Staff is super friendly at hotel and lounge. Gym facility meets our workout needs. Close to some favorites. Industrial Eats, Zaca Creek Tavern, Zaca Creek golf course. We enjoy our stay every time we visit. Can’t wait to return. Our home away from home.

Rooms are very cozy. It's a beautiful place that is quiet and warm. We were amazed we could not hear the freeway even though it's nearby. The fire pits in the courtyard were our favorite outdoor feature. And it's nice there is a year round pool and hot tub.

Very cute and clean hotel with friendly staff. Love their accommodations. The breakfast in the morning was perfect and the pool was fun. My son enjoyed. The beds were comfortable. Complementary coffee and donuts for a nice touch. The only thing wrong was the iron didn’t work so I had to re-replace and they came quickly

I stayed here because I am a huge fan of Sideways and wanted to try to experience what Myles and Jack experienced. My expectations were pretty low based on how the "Windmill Inn" was portrayed in the movie, and I was happily surprised at how nice it was. While the rooms and the grounds have been totally redone to be a hip boutique hotel, you can definitely still picture the scenes that were filmed there. The overall layout and structure of the hotel are the same. My room, for instance, was laid out exactly the same as the hotel room in the movie, except that it was now very nicely and comfortably updated and decorated. The pool looks exactly the same and the windmill is, of course, still there.|My room was very comfortable. The kind-size bed was comfy with good quality bedding and pillows. The bathroom was bright with plenty of towels. The TV and AC worked great.|They leave you a small continental breakfast (big donut, orange juice and piece of fruit - coffee available by in-room coffee maker or in lobby) in a bag on your doorknob in the morning, which I thought was a nice touch.|If you are a fan, I recommend watching the movie again right before you go so that you can picture where everything was filmed. It's all still the same.

My daughter booked this hotel and I was skeptical because the rates were much more reasonable than other hotels. I was so pleasantly surprised! I loved it! The roons were a great size and very very clean! The atmosphere was adorable! We loved the windmill! We enjoyed sitting at the fire pits at night and breakfast on our door in the morning! I would totally go back!

We went for a wedding and the location was super conveniente. It is super close to all the great wineries, great bar to chill at the end of the day! The rooms were spacious, we like the ones overlooking the pool. The front desk staff was friendly and provided suggestions of places to visit/eat. ||We love it!

The room was phenomenally clean upon arrival, with great amenities, tv channels, as well as centrally located to the pool and jacuzzi. The concierge offers a lot and has items for sell to save a walk to the store. The lounge is nice, they serve an American style short menu and offer several beers on tap. Every employee I’ve encountered at the hotel and lounge are great to be around, communicative, informative, and pleasant to converse with. I’ll be staying here on my next trip.

We have stayed at the Sideways Inn a few times now and it doesn’t disappoint. The rooms are a nice size. Comfy bed. Nice patio facing the courtyard and pool. Fun complimentary breakfast that you need to pre-order. Choice of 1 item: chocolate or glazed donut; bagel; boiled egg; or oatmeal. A juice and piece of fruit. Our guilty pleasure breakfast so we order the donuts. They are fresh and tasty. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Some small issues with cleanliness: light switches were not cleaned and the remote needed a wipe. It was warm weather and enjoyed some sun time by the pool. The location is great. You can walk to restaurants. It’s a quick drive to Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos. Great value for the price. We also travel with our dog and the pet fee is very fair along with being treated special as well. Probably the only thing we did not care for on this trip was that we were situated on the freeway side of hotel and it can get a little noisy. The furniture is showing some wear and tear and is getting a little dated. Otherwise no other complaints. We will definitely return to enjoy this fun little hotel. They do have a lounge with a happy hour and a sausage truck. We did not take advantage of it on this trip. Next time.
