Sherry was recommended to by a trusted friend in the tour business. She was able to get us out to the good stuff before all the other tours so we felt we had the wilderness all to ourselves. We were able to get a dogsledding ride which was an unexpected adventure we'll never forget. Enjoyed exploring the outback with her as a guide. She made us feel like family. Where to start… I will say I planned our Alaskan cruise around this excursion. Emerald lake is a sight to be seen, that you will not find anywhere else. Sherry is also one of a kind. She knows her history, both what is written, and what one comes to know about their own small town after decades there. She knew all the right spots to stop and see. Could pick up bear tracks before she even pulled off the road, and shared lore from around the area in nearly every breath. She was personable, and made the trip one we would NEVER forget.

She helped me plan my proposal (to which I got a screaming yes) and made sure to catch the moment on camera for us too. We are already planning another booking with her when we go through the area next year with some friends. Don't think twice, just book her already.

We booked a land/cruise with Princess in mid June. We loved the interior, Denali, and the Glaciers but nothing compared to the day that we spent with Sherry of Skagway Private Tours. This was the highlight of our time in Alaska. We booked the 7 hour tour to Emerald Lake. We met Sherry at 7:30 AM, I know that seems way to early but it's worth getting up early. We missed the traffic and all the people on the buses! Sherry is a very special person, within minutes you feel like good friends. Because she has lived in Skagway with her family for years, she provides more than knowledge but real experiences of the land she calls home with great stories and highlights. Her positive attitude made us smile all day. We made so many stops it's hard to say which we enjoyed the most. We stopped by the side of road to watch a brown bear eat dandelions, beautiful photo stops, walking across the suspension bridge, dog sledding and petting puppies. They were all great but for these 4 people in their 70's. Sherry was the one that made our tour so special. If you can book a tour with Sherry! Do it, you will be so glad you did!

We loved our private excursion with Sherry. The van-Limo was so amazing and we were able to see so so many things we would have never noticed otherwise. My hubby is very shy but melted when Sherry showed so much knowledge about Skagway history. We still talk about this adventure and we are planning to come back.
