Phil generously donated this flight to a silent auction for a suicide prevention group aimed at helping military members and I very happily won it. This experience did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations for excitement and adventure! Phil was very easy to work with to schedule this ride (I live out of town) and it was fantastic to fly with him. I felt very safe throughout the entire experience. Phil is very knowledgeable and happily answered all of my questions about the aircraft and our flight; he even allowed me to fly the plane, which was a big thrill. I can’t say enough good things about this adventure. Thank you, Phil!

This was an exhilarating adventure, an incredible experience soaring above the mountains with the hawks and looking down on the city from 10,000 feet. Phil is a flight instructor who lets you fly the glider! He instills confidence and creates a lively, fun event. The aircraft is silent and peaceful, but the fact that the motor can be started if necessary is comforting. We flew from the mountains all the way to Tucson International Airport and landed without ever turning the engine on. I am very familiar with the Tucson area, and this is by far the most memorable and thrilling tour available .

Fantastic flights in the Grob 109B motorglider!

I flew with Phil on two consecutive days. The first day was a self-launch endorsement and checkout on the Grob. Phil is a very experienced instructor and tailored the instruction to my needs and experience. We also had fun soaring up to cloudbase! The next day we made a fantastic soaring tour to the south, with lots of great scenery!

This was a birthday present from my wife which I thoroughly enjoyed because Phil allowed me to do the flying! He not only talked me through it, he told me what I was doing right and wrong in order for me to stay in flight and find the thermals! My first time flying anything and I was truly thrilled to death! I would recommend Soaring Flight Glider Rides with Phil to everyone!

Views will blow you away. Phil is a Certified Flight Instructor and will let you take the controls. Very cool to shut the engine off and glide around Tucson.

My experience with Phil at SoaringFlight was absolutely incredible. The level of participation in the flight was unexpected and exhilarating. Phil was very easy going and explained the basics of flying quite clearly and encouraged taking control of the glider as much as possible. The whole experience was just tops. Bucket list check marked. Phil was genuine and funny and made it a great experience. He explained each of the controls which was fascinating and fun to learn! The flight was exhilarating and you could see almost all of Tucson. I got to take the controls and try to keep her steady - although Phil did better. Overall an amazing day, amazing sights, and amazing expletive! Thank you!
