I went on the Hike, Bike and Brew tour in Haines and had a blast. Melody was our guide and was super friendly and knowledgable. We had amazing weather, which was a nice bonus to explore all the sights. Capping off the day with a couple of tasters from the brewery was the perfect way to end. Pro tip: don’t give Canadian money as tips at the brewery 😉

Purchased the Bike, Hike and Brew tour through a cruise excursion. HIGHLY recommend if you want to get away from cruise ship and into nature, but still be in close proximity to port. Equipment was well maintained, would recommend to most skill levels/ varying levels of fitness- just be sure you are able to do the hiking and biking as the description says. The biking was fun, not terribly long, the hike was beautiful and refreshing, with time to explore a bit of the coast. The bike ride back and to the brewery was also brief. Haines brewery had amazing beers, with non alcoholic beverage options available. Tom was our guide, he did a great job ensuring everyone stayed together and the pace was reasonable for all. Tom gave us some insights into the area, making this a truly unique experience! Thank you Sockeye Cycles and Haines brewery!

Excellent service and excellent bicycles! If you intend to ride around the entire Haines area out to the state parks we would recommend the e-bikes. They made the hills much easier. They provide nice helmets also. We felt very safe riding in the area.

Not only are they equipped to outfit you in everything you need enjoy cycling in Haines, but this is such a compassionate team. Unbeknownst to them, I had recently completed chemo and was on a celebratory Alaskan cruise. I wanted to bike around, but was weaker than I anticipated. When I was struggling to keep up, they arranged to pick me up. What initially had me in tears and feeling embarrassed, left me feeling joy and support as I venture into my new normal. I was so blessed to be treated so kindly.

The kayak portion of our tour canceled on us, but Sockeye held up their end and gave us a bike tour. Tom was a terrific guide. He kept pace with us. He pointed out items of interest. He picked some berries for us. He even stopped for some great photo ops. Of the 3 shore excursions my husband and I took, this, by far, was my favorite!

We've had an awesome afternoon with Tom from Sockeye Cycle. Hired bikes and biked out to Chilhat State Park to do the Battery Point walk. Beautiful walk through the forest to the Point where we had stunning views out over the water to the snow capped mountains. Thanks to Tom, our guide, it has been one of our best days in Alaska! He was so easy to get on with, very knowledgeable and safety conscious.

Great way to explore Haines. Our cruise ship stopped and none of the excursions looked like something we wanted to do, so we rented bikes for our group. We had a mix of ages and experience, so we rented 2 e-bikes, 2 hybrid bikes, a tag-a-long, and a pull behind trailer. We had a great time riding through Haines and would do it again.
