We had a confernce at this hotel & everything went great. The hotel was clean & comfortable. The confernece food was EXCELLENT, which is hard to come by after attending many conferences. The staff was pleasant & easy to work with. What a joy it was having an event there. Also, special shout out to Lucy, an employee who helped me clean off the snow & ice from my windshield. I have been traveling with my job for 20 yrs & never had anyone help me. Love this hotel & their staff - all of them which are too numerous to mention after spending a week there.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Sioux City Riverfront in Iowa and was thoroughly impressed with the hotel’s facilities and service. The physical property is excellent, the staff is friendly, and I had one of the best nights of sleep in a very comfortable bed. However, I must express significant disappointment with the M Club breakfast, which fell far short of Marriott's usual high standards.

Over two days, the breakfast experience in the M Club was frustrating and poorly managed. On the first day, basic items such as napkins were unavailable, and on the second day, there was no bread—even though I arrived just 15 minutes after the M Club opened. The eggs were particularly unappetizing, tasting as if they had been microwaved with no seasoning or care, and were far below the quality expected from Marriott. The potatoes were similarly bland, leaving the bacon as the only redeeming breakfast item.

The overall setup was disorganized and unwelcoming, with cartoons playing loudly on the TV while music played in the background—hardly conducive to a pleasant or professional dining environment. For frequent travelers who rely on the M Club for a quality breakfast, this experience was not just disappointing but also inconsistent with the high standards Marriott guests expect.

It’s a shame that such an excellent hotel with great service and facilities is undermined by a poorly executed M Club breakfast. I strongly encourage Marriott to review and address the quality and operations of the breakfast service at this property. It has the potential to meet the brand’s standards with the right guidance and attention.

I'm in South Carolina Marriott, their Mclub is clean they have an attendant and they have REAL EGGS. Sioux city is cutting corners no better than a comfort Inn breakfast

If you are going to represent Marriott , don't use fake eggs and it attendant. I had green eggs twice gross

Why is this called a Marriott? No breakfast of any kind unless you’re a bigger fool for paying to be a member at this fake Marriott. Every other Marriott I’ve been to at least serves some kind of breakfast, let alone a buffet. This serves you strawberry water in the lobby and that’s it.

No pool, no hot tub, no difference between this place in the winter than a $50 hotel, no difference.

Huge waste of logistics on our part to think this place met a minimum standard of a pool, hot tub, or breakfast. Last time me and my family will stay here.

Also, someone made a bad quality decision by coming up with the bright idea to put tile flooring right by the doors in order to maximize the noise coming under the door and bouncing off the tiles. If someone talks outside your door, it sounds like they are inside your room.

So whenever someone goes in and out of a room (all night long) the door slams shut so hard and loud that you wake up from anyone that goes in or out of their room.

They know about the confusion with there being no indoor pool due to their being photos in 3 rd party websites, but that’s not their fault!

Actually it is their fault they’re just too cheap to pay someone to sync that information across 3rd parties, or too naive to know that’s a thing.

“River side” rooms with patio, you step 5 feet onto the patio and you’re looking inside everyone’s else’s room and they’re looking at you.

No dog pooping signs or things to put dog poop in so where there is grass there is either dog or goose or rabbit poop.

Happy reviews must be from trendy review happy special members who love being treated as a higher class than regular people where you can go in special safe rooms and feel special about themselves.

The entire thing shouldn’t be branded Marriott imo.

To start this horrible experience off I made sure to call twice to verify that the hotel was cat friendly for our visit, both times the front desk told me they were “Pet Friendly” failing to mention that’s a flat lie considering they don’t allow cats.

I also scheduled my check in time between 3PM Friday and 7AM Saturday and confirming that was allowed through the hotel, called yet again a third time while driving to the hotel about being allowed cats and having a 7AM check in and was told I was cleared.

I arrived at the hotel and was immediately told cats weren’t allowed (CALLED 3 TIMES ABOUT A CAT) and that our King Executive Suite was cancelled since I was a “No Show” (I arrived 5AM Saturday WITH NOTICE and pulled out my receipt to show check in ended 7AM) basically got told since he already entered it he wasn’t going to change it no matter if the ticket was right.

Refused to get a supervisor or manager and instead took us to a small room on the first floor (NOT the one we booked A.K.A. KING SUITE) and didn’t even get us a key.

Went to check out in the morning and actually got a competent front desk worker and she helped us get some information, not only were we STILL signed in to the executive room (Which ww were told wasn’t available) but the previous worker also refused to get us keys and charged us for the executive room regardless.

NEVER go here, you book a room and call ahead? To bad, they charge you triple and still give you a regular room with NO KEYS, wondering about a specific pet you can bring? Good luck, the only answer you will get is “Pet Friendly” and have to leave them in the car through the night.

(And to top it all off, called Marriott support and was told that they won’t issue a refund and need to go through my booking site, went through them and they reached out for a refund and was ALSO DENIED, they’ll charge you the room you booked and put you in a different one with no keys)

My family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sioux City Riverfront Marriott. I can honestly say it was a five star experience from the moment we checked in until we checked out. We were welcomed by a friendly lady at the Front Desk that made sure the check in process was smooth. My room was impeccably clean and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities at the hotel were top notch. Fitness Center was well equipped and we were able to relax by the beautiful outdoor pool. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of delicious food. We visited Palmer Candy Factory and drove up to Sioux Falls South Dakota to see the falls .Overall our stay was exceptional. I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Positive: The view from the suite was fantastic! Nice decor and very upper class feel. Beds are fantastic... never been disappointed with Marriott beds. Negative: Many disappointments with the room (tiny unlined trash cans, no real fridge) and the service level didn't quite meet my expectations for the class of room.(Pesidential Suite)

Staff didn't make me feel like my status as a ambassador mattered. Not every hotel can give complimentary upgrades however this hotel was selling every room available including the presidents suite. However if i ask if an upgrade would be possible the counter clerk (without even checking) told me no. When i brought up that i could easily have bought any of the rooms as they all showed available, he gave me the run around. So i accepted defeat and took the room however i talked to another employee at the place that confirmed that the hotel was dead. So looks more like the guy at the desk just didn't want to do anything more than the bare minimum.
