This Ketchikan excursion was AMAZING! Yes you can kayak anywhere. You will not get this level of service though. Adam met us at the dock. Jake was our captain getting out to the anchored boat, where Matt outfitted us with gear. All three were amazing. Super friendly. Giving us recommendations in town. No one beats Adam. Most amazing guide ever. We saw starfish, sea cucumbers, bald eagles, river otters. Most important we had an amazing time. Highly highly recommend.

The guys were super organised and efficient. As basically beginners they looked after us very well. We felt safe and valued. Matt on the catamaran was a terrific guy and Katie our guide was knowledgeable and knew her stuff. Saw some bald eagles jumping salmon and a sea lion..no whales or Orcas unfortunately..next time maybe. Great exercise off the cruise ship..get on it

Wonderful time out with our guide and some beautiful scenery there in Ketchikan. We saw an eagle swimming a big fish to shore and got to sample some of the local plant and sea life. Very professiona, authentic, and friendly. The quick boat ride to the kayaking spot was appreciated because it gets you out of the harbor, but you don’t have to ride on the bus to get there there. A+, thanks!

Amazing tour that took us along the coastline! We saw bald eagles, some nests and a few whales. 10/10 would recommend! Adam and Atreyu were excellent!

We are locals and I am always skeptical about doing a tour. I find they're overpriced and not worth it. This tour was completely worth it! We were met by the owner, Devin, and he was friendly. We were guided down where Captain Jake was there to greet us. He was thoughtful and showed us a whale! We could hear it we were so close. We got to the boat that is anchored out. Matt greeted us and was amazing! He is so kind and thoughtful. Adam the guide was amazing! He was so laid back and really nice. We were low key group as we were locals and knew quite a bit, but he still taught us stuff we did not know. 1000 percent recommend this tour if you are local or a tourist. We will definitely be making it out there again! Nice job Orca Cove team, you made a local impressed and that is hard to do!

These guys are awesome! We were on a cruise ship docked in Ward Cove and they arranged transport for us directly so we wouldn’t have to wait in the line for the cruise line shuttle and risk missing the ship. Everyone we dealt with was very kind, knowledgeable, and FUN! The host of the catamaran you go to (Matt) was very welcoming, the captain of the fast boat you take out (Jake) was great, and our tour guide (Adam) was wonderful! They all seem like they love what they do and were great to talk to. If you’re coming to Ketchikan, I’d HIGHLY recommend these guys.

Josh, Matt, and Adam were amazing! They truly made us feel at home while offering an amazing experience! We were able to see so much native wildlife and enjoy a nice local snack and drinks when back aboard the boat. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something to do in Ketchikan. Even the owner, Devin, came out to pick us up after our tour to ensure we made it back to our ship with plenty of time!

My family of 5 did a kayaking excursion with Adam during our trip to Alaska. We all had a great time and really enjoyed being out in nature and away from the town (really helped that we had a gorgeous day outside too). My 12 year old daughter was a bit skeptical about kayaking where whales could be but luckily she was able to pair up with our guide who put her at ease….unfortunately we didn’t see any whales though. It was just the 5 of us in our group (plus guide) so that was nice and it allowed us to go at our own pace. Everything was well planned out from the boat ride to the boat where we got in our kayaks. Would highly recommend if you have the opportunity.
