I had a wonderful stay at this Hotel - everything was perfect! Comfy bed, good food and a great location in the heart of Stamford. Next time I come to visit my uncle I will be staying here. ||A special mention to the young lady that checked me in from the Philippines (I believe her name was Krystine) she was very knowledgeable and welcoming with a warm smile. I will be booking this Hotel again simply down to her wonderful service - she made me feel very valued as a Marriott Bonvoy member! 10/10 🙂

Very comfortable. Great staff. Dyson Javier on the front desk was really nice and provided all the information I needed when I arrived and support afterwards. The best place to stay if you want a traditional reliable Marriott experience. Marriott Burger at Northern lights is awesome

Also, I had asked for a room without a connecting door and what do I get ? of course a room with a connecting door….

Really disappointed that this would still be under the Marriott brand. Completely rundown. Lumpy mattress and just in urgent need of a entire renovation.

After complaining, they switched me to a renovated room, which was quite nice. Apparently you have to ask for the renovated rooms. It seems about 1/3 of the hotel is done with the renovation.

Very confused on why this is considered a “3 star hotel.” This place is immaculate with the perfect location surrounded by high quality assorted restaurants and a comedy club for entertainment. The costumer service was top notch and the room rates/prices were decent for where you’re staying. My wife and I were so pleased we will only be staying at The Marriott’s going forward.

The hotel is well situated off I-95. We were cruising out of Brooklyn, coming down from Northern parts, so we didn’t want to enter NY at night||Hotel is clean, staff are service oriented. However, I gave it a 3 because the hotel, and specifically the rooms, are a little tired. Nothing wrong with our room, it was clean, but it had older carpeting and furniture. Due for an upgrade. But everything worked.||On weekend, only buffet breakfast. At $25 US per person. A bit pricey for what was available, but food was good.||I would definitely stay here again, but just good to know.

I read several reviews before booking this hotel and I am currently three days into an eight day stay. My question is, did the hotel pay people for these stellar reviews? Pretty much everything I read is a lie. The building is old and badly in need of upgrades. My room door privacy lock doesn't work; there ceiling tiles in the bathroom are stained and not properly seated; the bed is so low to the floor that my knees hurt when I stand; the elevators are slow and have broken and chipped floor tiles; the "express" elevator to the concierge level is even slower; the outside walkway and stairs to the left of the lobby have loose and broken concrete blocks (dangerous); and the location is across from the train station so it's loud and not very relaxing. The food is average and so is the staff. I've had no problems with service but for the price of the room and meals I expected a better setting and experience. I know I sound like a picky, whiney, and complaining hag but everything I've said is true and I rarely write reviews. So, for me to take the time to write this one demonstrates just how disappointed I am. I have five more days here (joined my husband on a business trip) and I can't wait to leave. The best part of my stay so far is when I leave the hotel. Stamford is adorable and with the close proximity to NYC we are catching the end of the baseball season while we're here.

I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Stamford. The service was impeccable, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was clean, modern, and well-appointed, offering a relaxing retreat after a busy day. The hotel's amenities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained and enjoyable. The on-site restaurant provided a delicious breakfast with a variety of options. Delmay from concegire lounge was amazing!

I’ve now stayed twice at the Stamford Marriott. The first visit was nice — a recently updated room, good service, etc. Understanding this is an older hotel, the updated room was a nice surprise.

My second visit, however, had two glaring issues thag contribute to the two-star rating:

1) when I arrived at 9 PM to check in, I was told that no rooms were available due to a slowdown with housekeeping. Given that check-in is supposed to be at 3 PM, it was shocking to arrive after a long day of work and a 3 AM wake up to not have a room. I proceeded to wait in the lobby for an hour as more than 20 others were told that no rooms were ready and that they’d need to wait their turn. I was provided a room at approx. 10 PM.

2) When I was provided a room, the room (and head of the bed) shared a wall with the elevator shaft. It sounded as if an airplane was flying over head, every time the elevator moved. This proceeded to wake me up a number of times over the course of the night, when I’m generally a heavy sleeper. Obviously, if you stay here, the odds are you will not have one of the rooms adjacent to the elevator, but this was my experience.

Overall, the hotel is fine, but, due to these two issues, I am very disappointed in my stay. As I travel to Stamford often for work, I will likely look to stay at the other Marriott offerings in the area in the future.
