The worst campsite ever! Staff are super rude, not friendly to the kids. The cabin we stayed was not clean. This has been one of the worst experiences ever. Not worth the money! Don’t believe the pictures in websites. They had no activities for the kids you couldn’t even have fun at the pool without having a staff member yelling at everyone for any stupid reason.

We loved our visit at Stateline so much we wound up applying to be able to stay for the season. The staff is very knowledgeable and the couple times we had trouble with our camper they came down not only to help figure out the problem but assisted us to fix our issues.
Our friends and family love coming back to enjoy the campground with us because there is always something to do with the fun themed weekends throughout the summer.

This was our second time camping at Stateline in their cabins, but it will be our last.

Customer service is basically non existent. The sites are like Tetris blocks, cramming as many of them in as possible. The cabin we had was nice enough, but that was after I literally had to cry to an employee who drove by our initial cabin site and basically beg to be moved to a new spot. The initial cabin they gave us was a short walk from the dumpsters, which apparently were full from days-old leftovers from a CLAM BOIL they held at the campground the week before. Spending any length of time outside was practically impossible because the stench of rotting seafood was so thick in the air you couldn’t even stand to breathe. On top of that, our initial site had huge mud pits which, I was told by the rude woman who checked us in, was made by the people who had used the cabin right before us by their truck’s tires. I had red flags going off in my mind while she was telling me about the mud and how our cabin was close to the dumpsters, but I assumed it couldn’t be too bad if they were willing to put their customers on the site. It was terrible. Like I said, I was in tears when another worker drove by in a golf cart and asked how we were doing. Why they even thought it would be okay to put anyone in that cabin is a mystery to me. The rest of the cabins, aside from maybe two, were empty the entire week we were there, so a little common sense would have saved us from having to take out all our stuff we had already loaded into the first cabin to move into another one. We could still smell the rotten fish, but it was slightly more tolerable.

Like I said, all the sites are basically on top of each other, aside from one tiny little “rustic area”, but don’t let your kids play in the rustic area unless you want them to be yelled at by the old “security guard” who drove by our site ad nauseam to make sure the kids weren’t having too much fun. I was so annoyed! Our kids are so well behaved and after being a little cooped up in the cabin all week due to rainy day after rainy day, they finally had a chance to play outside only to be yelled at practically every time they stepped foot off our site.

The campground is absolutely riddled with poison ivy. Obviously when you’re camping you expect a little poison ivy here and there, but this stuff was practically taking over an entire section of the campground. Two of our kids ended up having to get a steroid cream prescription to help get rid of it. I feel like the owners should have some kind of responsibility for keeping the poison ivy at least slightly controlled.

You aren’t allowed to bring in your own wood because of the beetle risk? Some kind of weird excuse for them to get more money out of you because I have never been told we’re not allowed to bring firewood into a campground. They charge you $9 per “bundle”. A bundle is literally 5 pieces of lame wood. It rained a lot while we were there so we didn’t make fires as often as we would have liked, but it saved us a ton of money because we would have easily blown through probably 10 “bundles” by the end of the week.

I don’t know if they just had it out for us from day one because I asked to move cabins, but I felt like we were treated with little respect. The women who work in the front office were rude and short with me every time. It was instant attitude, like I was bothering them when I had to check in and check out. Also when I was trying to check out I had to go on a hunt for an employee because despite waiting for several minutes at the front desk and calling out, “hello?” there was no one in sight. If your check out time is 11am and it’s 11am perhaps having someone available at the front desk would be a good business move.

We camp every year, trying new campgrounds in search of the perfect one but we absolutely won’t be back here. It seems like unless you’re a seasonal camper, you’re just a nuisance to the workers here and they certainly make you feel it.

Save yourself the headache and stay away from this place if you’re planning to camp in tents!!!!
This campground stopped renting out tent sites a few years ago but they must be struggling so they are trying to rent out tent sites again but still failed to accommodate our group!
first, when I called to find out if they were renting out to tent sites yet, the employee I spoke with stated “yes, we just started accepting reservations for tent sites again”. When I told her we needed six sites, She said we had to speak with her manager Shannon, who we spoke with and said that she would accommodate our group, which we paid in full for last year but 2 of the families camping with our group had tested positive for covid and we had to reschedule. We called to cancel our stay within the cancellation time and was told we couldn’t get a refund but would receive a voucher good for any future stay. When we called to make reservations again, we first asked if they had 6 sites available for June 21-23. They said yes, but once we mentioned we had vouchers, it was back to “ I have to speak to my manager because we don’t usually do tents”. After waiting a few days to hear back from the manager, we decided to call back and finally spoke with Shannon who said she would accommodate all 6 sites. From the moment we arrived to check in we was greeted very rudely by Shannon and another staff member who then tried to tell us that we didn’t reserve all 6 sites and that she couldn’t accommodate us, even tho we had the receipts and confirmation emails for all 6 sites! What was suppose to be a weekend of fun & beautiful family memories, turned into a nightmare instead!! 6 families left with hundreds of dollars worth of food, car loaded with equipment and now another hour drive back home with a car full of broken hearts!!! No refund is worth the stress Stateline put us through! Do yourself & family a favor and book somewhere else!

Went there as a Coast To Coast member. Being with Coast-To-Coast I was checked in at a different part of the desk, away from the regular customers. We followed a camp worker but had to wait a few minutes while the site was changed. It turned out the site was on such a hill we couldn’t get the RV level, not even close. Also, we expected a full hook-up but it didn’t have sewer. Very disappointed.
The next morning I went to the office (I had been told by another worker I could get a different site). The young lady said I could get a different site (she had an attitude). I responded it was too late, I booked a room at a hotel! I’ve never did that before in all my years camping. I will never go near that place again. I did hear the young lady behind the desk say to another worker “we only get $10 a night from Coast-to-Coast” like that made it ok!

We go to a lot of campgrounds and I couldn't believe the amount of rules and signage with restrictions that there were. Including a sign about no taking selfies in the bathroom 🤣We have small children and spent the weekend basically waiting to be yelled at for everything they did. Location was good, pool looked nice but was closed most of the day for thunderstorms so we didn't get to use it for more than 10 minutes before getting shuffled out. They didn't advertise an activity schedule, so we had no idea when bingo was. Everyone was friendly enough but definitely couldn't relax and enjoy our time as much as we normally do. We will not be going back.

Stateline is a great place their staff are so kind and helpful. The pool slide is a great and will provide plenty of fun for kids big and small. Nice firepits with grill grates for cooking and there wood is top notch and even hard wood (best for cooking over and dutch oven cooking). When leaving since it was a holiday weekend they had a staff member helping at the dump station and I didn't even need to break out my own stinky slinky he was hooking it up before I got out of my truck. Wife won a chili cook off and we were gifted nice place mats and money to the camp store. One of our best camping weekends.
