Mansion was just amazing, so historic but really well kept and clean. Furniture was beautiful. Rooms were really nice.
We especially enjoyed the breakfast, and the game room down in the basement/cellar.
Also really enjoyed touring around the mansion and even got to talk to the owner herself. She took us on a tour of the place and gave us some really cool backstory on the mansion. Highly recommend if you’re staying in this area. Such a great experience.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful stay! Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. The entire mansion was immaculate and we had so much fun exploring each corner - I truly felt transported back in time. We had the pleasure to chat with the Owners and they were exceptional - so sweet - it is obvious this hotel is well loved and cared for. Oh and the breakfast in the mornings were delicious, especially the home fries! Can't wait to stay here again and try out all of the different rooms. HIGHLY recommend and do not hesitate to stay here.

Steele Mansion – A Historical Gem in Painesville, Ohio

We recently visited Steele Mansion in Painesville, Ohio, for their happy hour and a tour, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! This beautifully restored historical building is full of charm and character, and exploring it was like stepping back in time.

The employees were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. They went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. The drinks were expertly made and delicious, adding to the overall relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere of the evening.

One of the highlights was being able to tour the mansion. We were thrilled to explore the various rooms and spaces, each showcasing the history and elegance of this stunning building. The staff was more than happy to answer questions and share the fascinating story behind the mansion’s restoration.

If you’re in the Painesville area, Steele Mansion is a must-see destination. Whether for a drink, a tour, or even a stay, it’s a truly memorable experience!

We have had the pleasure to stay at that Steele Mansion many times. The entire Inn is gorgeous, clean, and the staff are amazing. Carol, the owner, is a delight and has so many amazing stories about the history and renovations of the inn. I highly recommend it.

We visited as part of a bridal party. Very comfy rooms and a fun and unique atmosphere. Staff were all very friendly. Appreciated a hotel that serves breakfast a little later on the weekends. Lots of common areas to relax, including a well stocked bar

We absolutely loved our stay here. The historical details and antique decor really create a unique ambience. The cleaning crew is top tier - the place was immaculate. The staff was all friendly and helpful.

We loved the proximity to the beach and to the wineries at Grand River Valley. Makes for an amazing weekend getaway!

This is the second time we have stayed here. We love it! The character of the place is fantastic! The rooms are so cool, with so many wonderful little things to make your stay just perfect. The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is wonderful. But the best part is the amazing customer service. They take such amazing care of you! You can tell that they care, and they work with you and put their heart into making your stay wonderful. We have stayed twice and plan on bringing more friends to stay again. You will be happy you stayed!
