My husband and I recently got married at Sterling Hotel. This venue is very cozy and beautiful. It was one of the best nights of our lives. They have in-house vendors and buffet style option which was a hit because guests were able to grab as many food they like to fill up. The coordinators were absolutely helpful and always responsive throughout the planning process. We were able to make changes with the package we selected. On our Wedding Day, Katie was our day of coordinator. She was absolutely amazing and made sure everything was going well. She took care of my husband and I from beginning to end.

My 80th birthday was a smashing success. Everyone was attentive to our needs and in a number of instances the staff knew what was needed i.e. leftover cake in a box to take home. The food was a hit with everyone, even vegetarians. Perfect and a memorable event!

I stayed at the hotel for a wedding hosted by Wedgewood. This is a review of the hotel only. TERRIBLE experience. No staff. No care for the facilities or the guests. Literally one person who sits in a caged room from 8am to 4 pm. The rest of the time you are completely on your own. Three nights...no maid service, no refilling of the minimal snack bar. Dirty glasses left on the one table on the porch from 3 nights prior (they were still there when I left this morning). Piles of trash left behind the bar in the lounge. A can of spray carpet cleaner left on the table in the hallway outside of my room. And (why not?) absolutely no hot water in the shower. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. And absolutely no attention to any detail. The facilities are fine, but given the apparent lack of any care, that will not last long. A terrible choice. Would absolutely never return.

We had an amazing wedding! Everyone on the team went above and beyond to make our day so beautiful and special. Taylor and Scout were super helpful throughout the whole process and day of the wedding. We used the venues florist, caterers, and DJ and we are so happy that we did.

Per their own description, the Sterling Hotel operates akin to an AirBNB for "the benefit of the customer", but *shockingly* (/s) all the benefits seem to favor the hotel.

Don't expect to be able to stow your bags at the hotel after checkout (like any other place I've ever stayed in my life, in any country/state).

Don't expect housekeeping or many hotel amenities without some special request or paying $$ (they provided a single extra towel in the room for a multi-day stay and no regular housekeeping).

Don't expect a responsive front desk in their off hours or weekend (we had an urgent question upon checkout and actually never received a callback, despite their outsourced customer service representative assuring us one was requested/one was coming).

We were able to keep our bags at a hotel down the street, for free, on the day of our checkout (so we could explore the rest of Sacramento).

Where's The Foul

Was waiting to share my experience until after my wedding. Cannot put into words what the ladies at Wedgewood Sterling Hotel have done for us. From the VERY beginning ...the first tour to the very day off our wedding, they have been courteous, accommodating, supportive, there for us, and sincerely happy for us. I would recommend this venue and experience to anyone on a budget, anyone looking to have majority of the hard work taken off your plate, anyone wanting an intimate luxury/ glamorous wedding. It was more than my husband or I expected from a venue. Our wedding had about 40+guests and it was All inclusive and fun. We had theee best coordinator. I would not mind getting married here AGAIN in another 5 years. Thank you with all my heart for all the handwork by the entire team. The cooks, servers, bar tender, cleaning staff, dj and coordinators. My day was magical because of you.

Your wedding should be one of the best days of your life. Wedgewood definitely didn’t disappoint. IT WAS AMAZING!! perfect, special, unique, and just all around the best time of my life!!! I’ve never been so happy. I planned on DIYing my wedding. Then the venue fell threw. I went into panic mode. I called about ten other venues and they were either way out of my price range or booked for the day I wanted. I called up Wedgewood, I told them my date and that I wanted a Sacramento location. Amazingly, they had my date available on short notice at the Sterling Hotel. The most beautiful place. I returned all my DIY wedding decor and started mapping things out with Sarah and Hannah, our wedding planners. When I tell you that losing my venue was the best thing to happen to me, I really mean it. The food was amazing! The DJ was great. The cake was beautiful. Hannah had my back the whole day! I don’t think I’ve ever lived in the moment before and been happy and enjoyed a special moment completely. I WAS TOTALLY IN THE MOMENT! I usually have to plan everything and think and worry, etc. Not on my wedding day. Once I walked down the aisle I was present. My dad has never seen me happier. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING A WEDGEWOOD WEDDING! I could go on about all the things that Wedgewood did to make my day special but I’d need more room. In short, BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!

We toured many venues in Sacramento and as soon as we walked up to The Sterling we knew this was the one. From day one, we were treated like we would be spending 100k when in actuality we had a very small budget. We were so tired of being made fun of for our tiny budget from other venues that we told Hannah our budget right at the beginning and she never acted any differently towards us. She told us that she would somehow make all of our dreams for our wedding come true even with a tiny budget and she blew the whole thing out of the water. The entire planning process was a breeze. We had to do almost nothing except say yes or no. They somehow planned the perfect wedding even with all of the covid drama happening around us. The day of the wedding we had Ashley as our coordinator and she did an AMAZING job. We were her first wedding she did alone and you would have thought it was her 5000th. Everything went so smoothly. We never had to worry about one single thing. If we needed more drinks while getting ready she was already standing outside the room with champagne. The entire day was perfect! My family works in the wedding industry and they will tell that you that they have never seen a wedding so perfectly executed. All of our friends raved about the event. We had so much fun that we joke constantly that we want to get married every year! Thank you all for the perfect day!
