I can’t say enough about our day trip with Tom! He was very educated on the history and geography of Haines. As a photographer I appreciated his skill and art, but mostly his ethical and mindfulness of protecting nature and wildlife. We were lucky enough to see and photograph a local bear which was amazing. Tom was quick to share his technical expertise as well as composition suggestions. It was private without the crowds and we all enjoyed it immensely. Thank you so much Tom Ganner Photography. We highly recommend!!!

Haines is real Alaska, a beautiful place. Tom Ganner was a wonderful host showing us many sites not typically visited but regular tours. He listened to our wishes and we had a great day together. We left with terrific memories and beautiful photographs. I highly recommend Tom.

A day to remember… 5 hours with Tom in Haines was fantastic. The highlight was not just seeing bears; but having the opportunity to watch a sow and her three cubs, fish, climb, feed and interact with each other over a period of time. We were close enough for great photos.

As a local naturalist, Tom has a good knowledge of the bears, their habits and locations. As well as the sow and her cubs, we watched another bear as well. We also saw multiple bald eagles. Tom is a good communicator and very knowledgeable about the local area and history. It was a dream come true. Tom picked us up off and dropped us off at our ship and everything ran very smoothly. Definitely do this! An unforgettable experience!

Tom is excellent in what he does. He offers private customisable nature and photography tours and will help you get the photos you want! We wanted bears in Haines, Alaska and this is the second time I have been out with Tom and got lots of magnificent bear photographs. I could not recommend him more. He knows where to go, will help you with any camera settings you are unsure of and make sure you are happy with the results you get. If I get to visit Haines again, for a third time, I will once again organise a customisable photography tour with Tom Ganner. Thank you Tom!

Tom went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful day with him. All the while driving us to places we never would have found without his guidance, he gave us so much information on local history as well. Tom Ganner took my small group on a photo tour in Haines, AK on July 20, 2024. It was absolutely amazing!! I cannot say enough good things. We had a range of camera experience within the group and he was able to help each of us with what we needed. For myself, I have been and amateur photographer for a long time but recently purchased a Canon R5 with multiple lenses. He was a huge help and I took some wonderful photos of both wildlife and scenery during our vacation. In addition to the photography instruction, he was informative about the history of the area, had a great sense of humor and worked hard to be flexible to accommodate our schedule. I strongly recommend you take his photo tour if you are visiting Haines or Skagway.

Fantastic photo safari with Tom! It was great having a detailed tour of the Haines community and history, and his knowledge of the area was superb! We got lucky with Mother Nature, but Tom had us in all the right spots to see bears, eagles, salmon, and incredible views. This was the highlight of our cruise!
