We were thrilled to use The 1833 for a family funeral luncheon recently. The setting was beautiful and really added to the occasion. Scott Strayer, the owner, was lovely to work with from the initial visit to the final wrap-up. The attached image shows one of the *vivid* original stained glass windows. The light inside is gorgeous. We would consider this venue again in a heartbeat.

I recently used The 1833 to hold my baby shower and it was the perfect space to do so. The kitchen area downstairs was the perfect size for people to mingle, and the upstairs held everyone comfortably and left enough room for the food and gift table. For reference, I had nearly 60 people attend the baby shower. The owner Scott was very kind, professional, and communicative during the entire process from booking to set up to tear down. I have told everyone who is looking to hold an event or even a micro-wedding to look into holding it at the 1833!

The place was a great place. My church hosted a Hoco/Prom highschool dance there and it was fantastic. The interior design feels like a modernistic and old or farm design to it, while keeping the pretty stained glass windows inside. There were 2 floors to the building, the top floor being the dance area or event area depending on what event goes on. The downstairs has a kitchen and island and some seating+bathrooms. The outside looks very small and nice, white bricks, simple and nice. Great place to hold events at! I greatly recommend going there to hold events at.

The 1883 is a stunning venue in the heart of downtown Troy. All the details have been thought through as this venue offers accessibility, plenty of clean restrooms, a beautiful kitchen area to prep and other beautiful and functional areas. The star of the show is the event space with detailed stained glass windows, high ceilings and great lighting. The owners are great to work with and are very organized and responsive. We had a beautiful and memorable experience at The 1883.

I hosted a styled shoot at The 1833 and it was absolutely beautiful! Scott allowed me to be creative with the space and welcome a lot of talented vendors in. A few of my favorite parts of the venue are the stained glass windows and the spacious downstairs with areas for food preparation and a great bridal suite! Highly recommend for a micro wedding or small event!
