Cauffiel House is a breathtaking venue! The historic estate with its vintage furnishings provides the perfect setting for our wedding. The views of the Delaware River and the charming gazebo make it an ideal spot for our outdoor ceremony. The beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens add to the venue’s charm. We toured many venues in NY, PA, and DE, but Cauffiel House stood out. The Cauffiel Barn adds a rustic-elegant touch that we love. Highly recommend this venue!"

As a Wedding Photographer who recently photographed a wedding at this venue, I was very upset at how the Event Coordinator, Melanie Sader, treated me and my colleague. Melanie was very unfriendly, rude, and talked to me as if I was not even a human being. While I photographed the bride and groom - Melanie approached me several times in such an aggressive way rushing me to finish capturing bridal portraits. I understand there is a timeline that needs to be followed by event coordinators, as I’ve been photographing weddings for several years, but the bride and groom hired me to capture specific photos so I was simply doing my job. In my opinion, her attitude during those times showed no consideration for the bride and groom since they were standing there when she was being demanding towards me although they requested certain photos to be taken. A few of the other staff members were friendly and acknowledged my presence (simple human decency) so I was grateful for them but I felt very mistreated by Melanie and the DJ at the venue so I could not wait to leave. I would not recommend this venue!

We attended a wedding last night here. There was minimal parking spots so get there a little early. The venue itself beautiful. We were not expecting to be sitting outside for the ceremony part (it was freezing!) as the wind was literally blowing the bride and grooms ceremony stuff off the table. I know weather is uncontrollable though.

As for the food, it was a little bit different than I would have expected. It was a "family style" serving of meals that each table got-cooked veggies, mashed potatoes, some sort of whiskey roast and what looked like a whole chicken (literally). We ended up eating later that night..

Pros: Beautiful venue
Cons: the food, the lack of staff telling us where to go, limited drinks/odd drinks, cocktail hour was in a tiny house where everyone was crammed in, (unless you wanted to freeze outside-we waited in the car) and the extremely lateness through the whole night
I understand things don't always run as planned (my husband and I got married April of 22) but it just seemed a bit chaotic.

I'm hopeful that this review may help to the staff become more aware of the things needing to be worked on to continue creating a more professional wedding environment.

We toured many venues in NY and DE, but Cauffiel House was the clear winner. Its vintage furnishings, sun porches, and elegant dining room create the perfect setting for our wedding. The property also includes a restored barn, ideal for our reception. The grassy hilltop location with views of the Delaware River is simply breathtaking. Located just 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia, Cauffiel House offers convenience along with its beauty. The enchanting backdrop provided by the romantic gazebo and exquisitely landscaped lawns and gardens makes it perfect for our outdoor ceremony. We can't wait for our big day!

We got engaged in October 2022 and started looking at venues immediately. Cauffiel was the first venue we looked at and we were BLOWN away. We loved the cocktail hour space and the reception area. Everything is effortlessly beautiful and then they told us they were re-doing their ceremony space. We booked it that same week. We get married in 30 days and we absolutely cannot wait!

The barn at cauffiel is such an amazing venue. I am planning my dream wedding and the wedding coordinators and staff have all been so helpful and amazing. Between the barn on the properties and the 7 bedroom house you get the best of both worlds! Highly recommend this venue along with JAM catering.
