THE most beautiful and perfect wedding venue for my son and new daughter-in-law. 🙂 The wedding planner and venue staff were fantastic and were on top of everything,,, so very organized and friendly, so the bridal party and guests had a stress free and wonderful time... even during a snowstorm! The ceremony and reception there was magical! Not to mention, THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD we all have ever had! Too bad the food is not available in any restaurants! It all was amazing! Staff and the wedding planners made the day perfect... no stress. That's hard to do! I continue to hear, every day this January from friends and family, of how awesome everything was, and we would highly recommend The Barns and Connecticut Wedding Group.

The moment I stepped inside the barns I was in absolute awe of the venue. It truly feels like stepping into your own fairytale. Pair this beautiful venue with the exceptional service of the Connecticut Wedding Group and it is the PERFECT place to get married. From the planning stages, to food tasting, to day of coordination, this group has perfected wedding planning. They made every step of the way easy and enjoyable. Their customer service truly puts them way ahead of other venues. Sean, our day of coordinator was fantastic at handling anything thrown his way. We found out days later that the power had gone out during our reception and we had no idea! Sean had electricians on site immediately to fix the problem and we didn't even notice. He handled the situation with so much grace and poise to not let us even have an inkling something went awry during our day. The Connecticut Wedding Group truly makes you feel beyond special. They know you by name, they ask you for your engagement stories, they always knew that Seth was allergic to shrimp and were able to make any necessary changes to the menu that we need to accommodate his allergy. The food was spectacular, our guests are still raving about it and we are still dreaming and drooling over the donuts we had. We honestly cannot say enough positive things about this place. We recently got married at The Barns and could not say enough positive things about this experience. From day one of touring the property all the way through our wedding day on 12/21/24, the team at The Barns was outstanding. They made the entire planning process seamless, helping us pick out vendors that matched our vision, getting us in contact with those vendors and ensuring we stuck to an appropriate timeline. They had constant check ins to make sure we were staying on track and were incredibly responsive to any and all questions we had along the day.
When it came to the wedding day itself, we could not have been more thrilled. Everyone at our wedding agreed it was the best food they had ever had. From appetizers to entrees and drinks, the culinary team at The Barns exceeds all expectations. Our day of coordinators, Mary and Casey, were the greatest additions to our day. They were so incredibly helpful and attentive to all of our needs and had our backs every step of the way, squashing any problems as they arose. They were so much fun, so kind and made the day so much better with their positive attitude.
The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and the ability to customize the space ensures you will be able to create your vision in this space.

The Barns at Wesleyan Hills is one of our favorite places to visit! From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with smiling, helpful faces! We recently filmed a wedding there with Sean as our coordinator and he was absolutely fantastic! He went above and beyond his role so many times making sure the couple (& us!) were happy! Throughout the day, I heard the couple and bridal party compliment Sean and the staff for how wonderful they were and how happy they were with all of the services! At one point, the bride’s dress had a little mud on the bottom of the dress and Sean was right there sitting on the floor with the bride and her bridesmaids helping her clean it before the wedding! We could go on and on but if there’s one review you should trust, it would be a wedding vendor’s review as we go to many venues throughout our season.. and ANY venue owned and operated by Connecticut Wedding Group is going to be five stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ if you’re still on the hunt for a venue, put one of their venues on your list!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin but to thank everyone at The Barns for helping us to have the most incredible wedding. The food here is truly excellent! I come from a large Italian American family who are extremely difficult to please and every single person I have spoken to since our wedding in December is still talking about how amazing all of the food was. The venue itself is stunning but the gem of this entire place is the planning team. The team at CT Wedding Group was there for every phone call, answering all of my questions no matter how big or small. They helped my husband and I create a truly unique and beautiful wedding. I would also like to give a very special shoutout to Nicole and Lexi. Nicole worked with us at our rehearsal and truly went above and beyond when she sat down on the bathroom floor and supported me as I cried my heart out to her. Lexi was our day-of-coordinator and was the glue that held the entire operation together. She handled some very delicate issues with incredible grace and was always by our sides. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her.

The level of service you will experience here is worth every penny. For our honeymoon we stayed at the Park Hyatt in Milan with a 24/7 concierge and incredible service and it was similar to the care that we received throughout our wedding planning experience and wedding day. All questions answered promptly and with great detail, all requests granted to the best of their abilities, and any and all comforts were thought of well in advance and provided to me on the day of. My guests were immediately raving to me about the food, the service, and the venue, even before the night was over. Hands down, they said, it was the best wedding they had ever been to. CT Wedding Group has wedding planning and execution down to a science.

At our final appointment I had the easiest time handing over all my wedding items, briefly giving an idea of what I wanted done with them, and Lexi, our day of wedding coordinator, and the team made it all happen. Everyone loved Lexi and told me multiple times that day how amazing she was. She was bubbly and genuinely excited to be there for me that day. She was there the whole time. She was there to pin up the bottom of my dress right before I was to walk down the aisle. She coached the young flower girl and ring bearer on what to do. She bustled my dress. She got me a whole platter of the passed hor d'oeurvres and tacos from the station to eat privately right before the reception introductions. See? Concierge level service.

I had a fair amount of non-traditional wedding elements at play - I wanted an Escape Room themed wedding so I had a ton of elements to keep track of - individual wooden boxes for each guests that each had a unique lock, motel key chains with guests' names on it with attached keys, a countless array of signs, locked boxes and items with secret compartments that I needed hidden around the venue, special cards for the Bartenders DJ to give out to guests if the guests gave them a secret passcode (which I provided to guests on puzzle pieces in their boxes, if they put it together!). The team enthusiastically embraced my ideas and placed everything perfectly on the tables and around the venue for display. The guests told me that the bartenders took their jobs as passcode keepers very seriously and had a great time playing along with them. If a guest said a passcode too loudly, they would playfully chide them, "Shhh, it's a secret!". Our friends loved it!

And the Food! The guests could not stop talking it! I already knew it was amazing, but to hear that from friends and family was worth it. The Service - friends commented that it was akin to a high quality restaurant and not just a caterer. Servers checked on tables frequently during dinner service and were highly attentive. Lexi went around and introduced herself, impressing my friends further. We also had the Philly Cheesesteak Station, the Tacos and Tequila Station, and the Loaded Fry Bar and we did not regret it! All of our guests LOVED those extra food stations and commented that they were delicious!

I could go on and on about every single aspect of this day - the attention to detail, the genuine kindness from all of the staff that I encountered, the stunning beauty of The Barns... But really to see my closest friends and family just have a truly fun time was the best thing ever. CT Wedding Group at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills made all of my wedding day dreams, and silly requests, come true.

The staff, the ambience, the food/appetizers were absolutely spectacular!!! Our Wedding Coordinator Sean was absolutely superb, he is truly the best. He made our day so perfect, he truly loves his job and made our daughter's dream wedding come true!!
