The director kicked my nephew out to the street during the winter over nothing. I had to drive 14 hours roundtrip from Philadelphia to pick him up in Pittsburgh.

Kicked a parent and a small child out at 1 am because the person they were sharing a room with said child's tablet was too loud and roommate yelled at the child instead of asking parent to turn it down or off, of course the parent told roommate don't yell at my kid and scare him. Staff kicked all 3 out. It wasn't an altercation that involved police presence so why not de escalate the situation and keep specifically children safe. Staying at a shelter is already hard. The staff I know needs to be persistent on rules in all situation s but maybe the person who started the problem who didn't have a child should have been asked to leave. I've called there on many occasions about donating things people may need and I've been met with some very nice staff but more often it's very curt and rude like getting free items was a ridiculous thing. These Residents are already in an impossible situation and we've all seen the growth of homeless in the community. Just remember when people call to donate you have no idea how much they put in behind the scenes for your organization &:if you can't do that job without kindness and compassion don't work there. Treating donors or Residents poorly is unacceptable.

The very short time that I was here, I experienced very rude and judgmental staff and clients. I noticed that a few clients needed to be in hospital for severe mental health issues. I felt I was not feeling safe

This place is a God send. I got stranded by someone that I thought I knew and ended up stuck in Marshalltown Iowa and was brought here by a member of the social services team and was helped out with getting a greyhound bus ticket back to my hometown of Dallas Texas, their kind generousity made it possible for me to get back to where I needed to be with no questions asked, I am truly grateful for the Bridge home and how kind they were to me. forever thankful!

I was there as a volunteer and I couldn't say nicer things about the people there. The maintenance man was super nice, helpful, and very appreciative of the work we did. The woman in charge was also very nice and knowledge. She explained their purpose and the process. She offer to have us back to just visit. Great group and place.
