We used the Colonnade catering and decoration services for our wedding at Millsite Lodge and everything was perfect! Multiple guests approached us during our reception to tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The decorator took our inspiration and perfectly decorated the venue with no questions asked. Our wedding weekend was exactly what we had dreamed of 🤍

Beth and her team did an amazing job for our wedding reception. The decorations were perfect (thank you decorations package). Weeks later, people are still raving about the food we served (especially the passed apps). It was nice being able to add our own touches here and there, but it was also nice not having to set the whole room up and tear it all down. Loved everything about our reception. My only wish...we had gotten there earlier for the apps and gotten a slider or 2 at the end 🙂

The food was GREAT! Beth promised that the food would be amazing, and she delivered! Not only that, the options are endless! We went with the sushi option during our cocktail hour and guests are still raving about it to this day!! As we pulled away for our honeymoon, I received a text from my “foodie” friend that said “My date and I both give the food 10/10!!!!” That pretty much sums it up!

It’s always hard to prepare food for a 300 person wedding reception, but our guests were in unanimous agreement that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding reception. My wife and I shared the experience of our guests when we were able to eat some food during the craziness of a reception. Aside from the food quality itself, the staff were very friendly and Beth was great to work with. I don’t have a negative thing to say about the overall experience with the Colonnade, from the first meeting to the last bite of food. Additionally, the Colonnade decorated our wedding beautifully. It was better than anything we could’ve imagined.

The food was cold to luke warm at our wedding. This would deserve a 3 to 4 star review because the flavor of the food was very good and the decorations you provided were beautiful. The reason for a 1 star review is because of the way in which the owner of the colonnade responded with a total lack of professionalism when we had questions or concerns leading up to and after the wedding.

In your response to my wife’s review you wrote, “I’d be happy to supply you with the signed contract that actually does state the potential for up to 15% increase….
With other numerous red flags as we approached your event. I knew that there was no way that this was going to go well..”

In regards to the 15% increase in catering cost:
below is a picture of the brochure that we filled out the night we signed the contract for your catering service. The brochure clearly states a maximum increase of 10% but your contract says there could be up to a 15% increase? That is so misleading.
Can you see that maybe your catering service is the one exhibiting red flags?

In regards to you knowing that things weren’t going to go well:

you were in full control of the quality of your product you served to us on Saturday night. Things didn’t go well with your catering service, but every other vendor did amazing. Maybe a more positive outlook leading up to the event would’ve led to a better outcome.

The catering service provided by the Colonnade at our wedding at The Oak at Millsite Farm was “OUT OF THIS WORLD!”. The food was DELICIOUS and exceeded our expectations. It was the BEST wedding/event food we’ve ever had.
