I would not suggest this company to anyone. As a resident of the company at The Aston North Scottsdale, I have personally experienced the unethical business practices and careless demeanor that the Connor Group approaches its residents and employees by.

My biggest grievance is the domestic shooting that occurred on property shortly after Halloween night including several individuals from MANAGEMENT and MAINTENANCE (who happened to be partners in the firm and related to high level executives in the company). The Connor Group handled the situation horribly thereafter. Instead of transparently informing residents of the incident and offering us an option to peacefully vacate our leases, after the safety and security of our home had been breached by those responsible with keeping it, the Connor Group did not even inform residents of the full situation. A short email was sent out informing us of a “domestic incident” and extra security and police expected to be around. They then fired the current staff, including the domestic violence victim, and either kicked them off property or shipped them across the country.

It is unethical to put residents through such a traumatic experience, and then leave them out to dry in this manner with no reasonable option out. The Connor Group does not even have an early termination clause in their leases, encouraging employees to use manipulative and dirty sales tactics to lock residents into binding leases with no early termination provisions whatsoever. They then threaten to send residents to collections if they need to vacate for any reason, including their safety being breached and feel g unsafe living on their properties. I am appalled by the Connor Group and the way it has treated its residents.

On top of this, in less than a year at the Aston we have dealt with (including, but not limited to):

- Delivery drivers leaving packages all over the property, rarely in lockers as they almost never have access to the proper areas to deliver.
- Residents partying and having sexual relations in the pool area all night, disturbing other residents
- A perpetual beeping in the parking garage that can be easily heard throughout the apartment complex, disturbing residents in their sleep
- The health department had to shut down the pool due to improper maintenance and cleaning
- Multiple broken doors on the property (that took months to be repaired)
- Trash areas that are not maintained

The Connor Group needs to do better, and at least offer residents a reasonable way out when they ask. Especially when the Connor Group is at fault for its residents feeling unsafe in their homes in the first place.

We moved into the alcove at birkdale village in huntersville NC and honestly it’s the worst experience we have ever had living somewhere! We have had mold water damage so much stuff break over and over and over again! Pest infestations that we have spent so much money trying to get rid of! The people arnt the best they never take care of our problems! They are rude and couldn’t care less about any problems we have here! Our trash rarely ever actually gets picked up but yet we have to pay for it! Which is ridiculous! We have tried and tried to get out of this place they won’t let us! It’s actually so bad here we moved in and they said move in ready the place was disgusting! Things were broken which we had to pay to fix because they wouldn’t fix it! Living in this place has been the worst mistake we have ever made! I wish we could leave but they keep threatening us they will take us to court and they will make sure we were left with nothing because she said we would be ruining their reputation! But honestly if you come to live here! You will regret it and the Connor group who owns this place really needs to do better living like this is terrible I hope they see this and fix it! Because this is one of the absolute worst places to live I would love to leave !! Oh and these pic are just a few small things!!

I recently moved into a 1 bedroom unit with a pool view at the Sonterra Blue. It was exactly as advertised. My unit was move in ready, updated appliances, new washer and dryer, new bedroom carpet, and the flooring in the rest of the unit was in excellent condition. The staff and management have been exceptional, everyone from the sales staff, maintenance, and managers. Their customer service has been exceptional. They truly put the tenants needs first. The staff is always friendly and greats you with a smile. I would highly recommend the Sonterra Blue to anyone that wants a family friendly upscale living community. This place is amazing. Mahalo Plenty to all the staff that make this and awesome place to live.

My leasing agent Heather was the most sincere, accommodating uplifting young lady in my new journey. I’m so happy she was there for me. I knew My apt is just what I needed. I have all amenities local is fab. Close to shopping grocery and restaurants. The property is well maintained and nice. Thanks Heather. I appreciate you. :))))

We needed an apartment for six months or so while we were building a new home. Austin Springs in Miamisburg fit the bill. First the positives. Our unit was first floor, with easy access to a walking/bike path which we used daily. Dunkin is a short .5 mile walk, Starbucks a mile. Austin Landing is right across the street and our favorite grocer, Dorothy Lane Market is right down the road. You can't beat the location. The landscaping and outside walks are perfectly maintained and trash is collected three times a week. There is ample parking with no limit to the number of cars permitted. The dog park on the property is very nice. In fact, this is a very pet friendly property. We have a cat and our daughters dogs visited often so a pet friendly apartment was a requirement. The non-refundable pet fee is a bit steep, but the carpet had been replaced prior to our move in. We found this to be a VERY QUIET community.

The management staff were always friendly and professional and responded to urgent requests. The maintenance staff is also friendly and capable and there is an emergency contact as well. There is a great app for maintenance requests and bill payment that works efficiently. We had a bumpy start with a broken water heater but after some trial and error, it was fixed a few days into our stay. Our A/C went out during an extremely hot spell, but maintenance brought us a window unit while awaiting a permanent fix. Much appreciated! The unit included a washer and dryer. We were also able to rent a garage for some extra storage while awaiting our move.

Now for a few constructive comments. I'm not sure what constitutes a luxury apartment these days, but these units could use some updating. Appliances look to be original and quite old and cabinets appear to be "builder grade" originals as well. The water heater and furnace/AC area looks like it's seen better days. In all, with a little investment in updating, I would consider them luxury apartments.

I stay at Dovetree Apartments in Dayton and it has got to be the best place I’ve experienced! They keep the property very clean and well taken care of. I have a two bedroom and it is extremely roomy. The staff including Ashton and Brooke are amazing. They truly have made it so homey! Also they are very kind and helpful. It’s a pretty reasonable price considering all the good amenities. I truly have no complaints!

I am writing to bring urgent attention to the unacceptable conditions at Edison Apartments, a property owned by The Connor Group. This unit was not ready to be rented, yet management allowed me to lease it without ensuring basic functionality.

Since moving in, I have submitted multiple maintenance requests for issues that should have been addressed before leasing. Now, my second bathroom is also nonfunctional—it does not fill with water or flush, making this the third service request for toilet repairs. Additionally, my washer still does not fill with water, despite this being my third request for repairs. Mind you, I have only been here for 2 weeks.

The list of unresolved issues keeps growing. This morning, I woke up to shrapnel and trash outside my apartment door—further highlighting the neglect and mismanagement at this property. Security is a concern, maintenance is ineffective, and management refuses to take responsibility.

Instead of addressing these serious habitability concerns, the on-site team has escalated my lease termination request to their legal department, showing a complete lack of accountability. This is not a simple maintenance issue—it is a clear case of leasing misrepresentation and failure to provide a livable unit.

I have already filed a formal complaint with:
✅ Texas Attorney General's Office
✅ Austin Tenants Council
✅ Legal aid services regarding tenant rights violations

As the owners of this property, I urge you to take immediate action. Please contact me directly to discuss a resolution that includes releasing me from this lease. I cannot continue living in a unit with fundamental habitability failures, security concerns, and unaddressed maintenance issues.

I expect The Connor Group to take responsibility where on-site management has failed. If this is not resolved soon, I am prepared to escalate further through additional legal channels and public complaints.

We've lived here for over 7 years. The staff is great and very responsive. Marie, Meghan, Collie, Abbie, Brittany and others have been very responsive and helpful. The apartments are quiet and has a new security system that is outstanding. The neighborhood is very walkable. Lots of retail all in walking distance. Vibes Organic Juice, CVS, Starbucks, Fresh Thyme, Trader Joe's, Target, and Byerly's all within walking distance. The St. Louis Park community center, Wolfe Park, and Bass Lake Preserve and the walking paths are so conveniently accessible. The amenities include a pool, exercise room, yoga room, and a large common room for gatherings.
