I own America's Music To Go and got the privilege of working with The Conservatory on a wedding. This is a great venue. The acoustics are great. The staff is top notch. Also the food was great. As a wedding vendor this will go into my favorite venues to play.

Literally could not have picked a better location for our reception than the Conservatory. The location downtown is very vibrant and chic, and you almost feel like you are walking into an upscale art gallery turned club when you enter through the front doors. The lighting created the perfect ambiance for romantic snapshots, the acoustics for the music were solid, and the whole vibe of the place was exactly what I was looking for: contemporary and elegant.
Working with Anthony was an absolute blast. Everything looked precise and intentional when I arrived on my wedding day. I cannot fathom a better experience than what I had with the Conservatory.

What a beautiful venue! It has great artwork up and a cool industrial feel! It is in a prime location right in the heart of downtown Des Moines! If you are looking to have your wedding somewhere unique with access to activities nearby, don't look any further!

The Conservatory was an AMAZING venue to hold my wedding reception. It's so important to pick a venue that has a beautiful space but with service that makes the day go smoothly. I couldn't have imagined a better place to hold it. The manager, Anthony, was outstanding. While hiring other vendors in the Des Moines area, everyone...and I mean everyone.. knew of Anthony and had wonderful things to say about him. He was extremely helpful and positive throughout the whole process and never let one detail be missed. My wedding was the week of the Iowa Derecho and COVID (very stressful) but he stayed so positive and wasn't about to let my wedding be ruined. Last but not least.. Anthony's business partner, Sally Nong, was the florist and my flowers were absolutely breathtaking.

Overall, I highly recommend holding your event at the Conservatory!!

Every bride needs an Anthony on their side. This man goes above and beyond to make your day as special as can be. My husband and I had the extreme pleasure of hiring Anthony and and the use of The Conservatory as our venue. It was beyond perfect and accommodating to what we had in mind. The venue is beautiful and well kept. There were no issues the entire time. The entire staff was so nice and professional. Thank you so much for making our wedding everything we could have hoped for and more. Will recommend to any couple looking for the perfect place for their day!

Breathtaking venue that meets all your aesthetic needs! Very modern and artsy vibe with a beautiful bar for cocktails and plenty of space for guests and vendors. We toured this place in consideration for a place to hold our wedding reception. The location is beautiful, but the person that gave us the tour was not great. He was very focused on how things are usually done instead of what we might want for the wedding. At one point, we brought up an aspect that we are going to do with the wedding. He told us that we shouldn't because some people might complain about it and then he would have to explain why it was done. I felt this was kind of rude, especially as it was after we had explained the personal reasons for making that decision.

It really felt as if, if we went with this venue, things were going to be done without much input from us. We chose to go elsewhere and have been very happy with doing so.

This is a great space! The venue is beautiful and they really do go above and beyond to accommodate what you would like! Anthony and his team did a great job from start to finish – and I would highly recommend working with them!

I would recommend meeting with Anthony to figure out details. He has a lot of great ideas and is super accommodating. Our wedding was really simple and we did no extra decorations – the venue itself is enough! They helped us out with centerpieces and they were simple and beautiful!

We held both the ceremony and the reception at the venue and it worked well. The changeover was smooth and The Conservatory talked us through how it would work at the rehearsal dinner. We had some of the guys in the wedding help with the changeover, but they could also provide staffing if you needed it.

We also did our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at the space. They gave us a deal to use it the night before the wedding and it worked out really well.

Another awesome aspect of this venue is that they allow you to bring in outside caterers (upon approval). This was such a blessing because we had specific vendors we wanted to use and not all places allow outside caterers. There is a small kitchen usage fee to do so, but it is reasonable.

The staff was super helpful the day of the wedding and made things work. We had a request the night of, and Jamie just made it happen. She was so great to work with! Jamie was also thoughtful and considerate. At a previous meeting I made a comment about liking the new Diet Coke flavors – and on the day of the wedding she had some for me!

The only “downside” to this place is that there isn’t a room for the groomsmen and bridesmaids to keep their things in. I had a place to hide before the ceremony, but it wasn’t big enough for our whole bridal party (although, they could potentially make something work if you had a normal sized bridal party – we had 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen.) That’s the only critique that I could think of for this venue. Everything else was so very nice.

I highly recommend this space – it is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Anthony is above accommodating and really works with you to make your day what you want it to be. This is a great venue! If I had to do my wedding over, I would pick them hands down!
