The Jeffreys Hotel is an amazing place to stay! the owners are friendly and understanding. The Management is fantastic and he will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. They keep the rooms very clean and well maintained. There is a big yard for our kids to play in as well. It is also pet friendly which is a big plus when it comes to those of us with fur-babies. I would recommend staying here to everyone that needs a clean, safe, comfortable place to stay for any amount of time. We've been staying here for a few months now and I DO NOT have one single bad thing to say about our stay.

Our Experience with this Hotel was not too good, The owner Alison is very rude to both guests and staff to the extent that they could not keep a guest manager for more than 1 day. The facilities are mostly clean less the raw sewage backing up into some of the rooms, to the Owner calling police on guests for complaining about being woke up early for radom room inspection. Not to mention extended stay guests are not screened for criminal background history. For the price you'd expect updates to rooms rather than cameras everywhere so the owner can listen in on conversations. Save yourself trouble and just go to one of the hotels right across the road. It would work better as a halfway house. This is an honest review. We have no hate for anyone we just are giving an honest real review after staying for several months.

Admittedly it is not a 5 star hotel, but it's worth 5 stars for the price that we paid. I hope they stay on the Expedia app.
We found our room to be very clean and it seems to be recently remodeled. The only trouble we had: When we got there, we pulled into the first driveway of the motel and entered the door on the west side of the building. I walked up-and-down the hallway and eventually started trying unlocked doors. I could not find the lobby. Finally, I went out on the east side of the building and there was the lobby. They could use some better signs to point you in the right direction.
I did miss the buzzer in the lobby and had to knock on the manager's door.
But once I started talking to him, he was very nice and very helpful in getting me checked in.
We did not receive the king size bed that we signed for on Expedia. He said that was expedia's fault. We will stay here again if we ever have to return that to my hometown. I also recommend Nanna's Table next door.

I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE me my wife and kids didn't sleep at all. I'm gonna see if I can upload the bed bugs we found.
Unfortunately I can't upload the video and pictures of the bed bugs and the bites on my kids
Oh and the front desk dude told us they're the best in town he said motel 8 is worst but we checked out from there and we checked in super 8 and we finally slept 😓 no bites and it also smell better

I can't give a negative review as there was a difference and miscommunication between my family and the Owner as well as the New GM.

The Manager is sweet so is Alison the Owner.

Despite the miscommunication and reason why we parted ways. Would I have stayed longer, Yes I would have....

They are close to Casey's and half between the local hyvee and walmart.

Rooms were a Lil too high for the old decor and could've had redone all the rooms before starting to rent out any of the rooms.

But was it worth it, yes for the time I would say so.

This was an amazing stay. The hotel is nice and comfortable. I had everything I needed and then some. The highlight of the stay was the new management, Bernadette. She went the extra mile to make me feel at home, rather than just another hotel stay. She is the reason I will be back. You can find a bed anywhere but it's hard to find someone that has her warmth, personality, and genuine love for what she does. Thanks for everything! See ya soon!

I would never recommend this place! Personally, it felt like a funeral parlor and definitely not worth the $88 a night we paid!!

Driving up, the hotel isn’t landscaped at all. It looked abandoned until we drove around the building (to access the front door) and there were a few cars finally.

The lobby was ā€œrecently renovatedā€ - yet the decor was dark green, from the late 60-70s.

Checking in was interesting. There was a sign on the door AND the counter that advised to call a number for assistance. We called but it just rang - no answer. Luckily I looked around and saw a little doorbell that had a sign to ā€œpress for helpā€. As soon as we pressed it, a man popped out from the back. Apparently he lives on-site? Although he said the number calls his personal phone, I don’t know why he never answered.
He had a lot of issues getting his computer to locate our reservation and process our pre-payment. After a reboot, he finally got it to process. Then he had issues getting the room key to work. (Luckily he gave 2 because 1 never worked!)

We were told our room was on the other side of the building, and to drive around to park nearby. (That was the abandoned side we initially drove by.) After pulling up, there were 2 guys sitting on a curb just staring down us ladies. There was another guy on our other side, walking around in circles just smoking. The exterior door had a key lock on it but my key wouldn’t work. Turned out it wasn’t really ā€œlockedā€. Unsafe!

When we got inside, it was apparent there’s 1 long hallway and rooms on both sides. Meaning we didn’t have to park on the abandoned side of the building to get in, as the other side (with cars) had a door too.

The room was very outdated and the bathroom had some stains. I didn’t realize the fridge and microwave weren’t plugged in, so our food spoiled overnight. Also, there’s a nearby train that runs by OFTEN so if you are a light sleeper, you’ll hate it.

We left and did our activity for the day. Upon returning later, there was a large gathering in the ā€œabandonedā€ side parking lot with drinking, loud music, and a poor child just watching their tablet while the adults loitered. We opted to park on the main entrance side, where there were other cars, but that exterior door lock isn’t broken and our key had a tough time registering to get it opened. We ended up walking around the building to the party side to get in (that door lock is broken).

Although it is a ā€œsmoke-freeā€ hotel, there was a strong weed smell the next morning while we were leaving. We quickly turned in our keys and left.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We felt very unsafe and almost stayed somewhere else. It was VERY overpriced as well - so don’t book through Airbnb!

We enjoyed our stay so much. Our room was clean, comfy and quiet. We felt safe. The manager made herself available to us if we had any problems, which we didn’t but she was very friendly and helpful.
