What a delight to experience the warm hospitality of the Ocean House again this year! This lovely inn just gets better each year with more and more thoughtful touches. Jared and Colleen and all their staff are so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable--special shoutout to James for his warm welcome and help with all our bags. Although we had clouds and frequent rain for our whole stay, we still had the most wonderful time--wrapped up in blankets on the iconic porch with the never-empty coffee pot or iced lemonade close by and a good book to read was the most blissful relaxation ever. The staff restaurant recommendations were spot on. Our room was comfortable and spacious and so quiet. Breakfast each day was excellent--interesting options and always served hot. Can't wait for our next visit!

"The Pink House" - a seashell's throw from the surf boasts a storied history, a/k/a it's an old place challenged to meet the demands of the WiFi-device focused clientele. Jersey Shore charm and a plethora of reminders, hints, suggestions, rules and regulations. (Hint: if you score one of the coveted on property parking spaces, plot your ins and outs VERY carefully....as you will be reminded - first come first served.). We had a top (3rd floor) room. All access via a grand staircase - your cardio will remind you to plan your ups and downs in detail. Room|clean and comfortable. Staff courteous and ready to please. Capital B for Bed and small b for breakfast. You are given a menu to choose selections in advance. Among them "Bagel Slice". Pick that one and presto - next morning you are presented with... 1/2 of a bagel, and said bagel not a Jersey real deal nosher. Did not ask why only 1/2 - though I did specifically request the top half for my last of three breakfasts. (Success!). Perhaps next guests can share the mystery, solved.

We had a wonderful experience at The Ocean House. This place has all the charm of a classic B n B, with added amenities that you do not find a lot of places, making it the perfect vacation spot. The rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable and the AC worked excellent. Staff was attentive and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and I recommend trying the bagels made fresh in house daily. Access to complimentary iced tea, coffee, and cold water throughout the day was a huge bonus. At night sitting on the porch with a book and a glass of wine is the perfect summer evening. We did not have a chance to take advantage of the complimentary bikes and beach chairs they offer but I definitely plan to return to enjoy a longer stay!

Found this B&B on trip advisor and the reviews were accurate: great location and charming.|Staff was very accommodating and always pleasant. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. A/C and cable TV in each room and free WiFi. Best feature was the porch: wrap around and deep with plenty of seating options. The porch has tables to use for food delivery options. The breakfast is minimalist for a B&B, BUT the featured option by local a baker was a real treat. |I really liked the unpretentious style of Ocean House and the fact that they got the details right. Plan to return again like many of the guests we met — so many were repeat regular guests!

We have been going to the Ocean House for 30 yrs and can’t wait to go back. Fabulous breakfast. Our corner room had an ocean view. There was only one chair in the room so we “borrowed “ a second chair from another room.

Definitely will be back! Great location. Staff was very friendly. I love that they had extra things for the guests like beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes. Rooms felt clean and had air conditioning. Breakfast was good. My only complaint was the bikes and outdoor shower area was a little sad. They definitely need to replace some of the old bikes and redo the shower. But other than that we loved it. Very quiet area and so close to town and only a block from beach.

Had a LOVELY stay at The Ocean House! The staff was wonderful - welcoming, full of information and super friendly. The hotel itself has so much personality, history and an incredible porch! Our bed was comfy, room was spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious. I can't wait to go back!

This has been our 4th year which four of my BFF high school friends have stayed at this beautiful house. Jared and his wife, the employees and other guests are so delightful. They serve a very delicious breakfast that you choose the night before. There are 2 seatings for breakfast. After breakfast we take a bike ride with the bikes available for our stay. Only 2 blocks from the beach! The little town has boutiques and speciality shops that are so fun to visit. After the beach we meet for happy hour on the large gorgeous porch and then walk to dinner. As a nightcap we walk around the lake which is a block away. Very well organized , clean rooms and friendly staff. A++++
