I'm a photographer, and I shot an event hosted here a short while back. It's a great space with plenty of room. Mixed lighting with an incandescent color temperature is a bit confusing to the subconscious though. It makes the mood a little uneasy to someone who doesn't know quite how to pinpoint the issue. I would recommend going with 5000k light bulbs instead, to brighten the mood.

My husband tried to create a special evening for us that was different from just going to a restaurant for dinner for Valentine's Day. Instead, we had 3 hours of waiting for food, with music being changed in the middle of a song and then the live music sounded like a jam session that never really changed.

Unfortunately, the chicken was EXTREMELY dry. The crab dip had a very fishy taste to it and it seemed like it was store bought cheesecake served with a $6 bottle of wine and plastic flatware. 🤦‍♀️ The green beans and mashed potatoes were delicious, but I would have also hoped for a choice in salad dressing, as Ranch is not typically what my husband nor I would have chosen.

This production seemed to have been put together hastily and inexpensively with a hefty price of $100.

My husband was disappointed that we just sat there for hours with nothing to do. No activities, no emcee, sitting side by side so that it was difficult to even converse with each other while other couples in the room made video calls and loudly played games on their phones. The gentleman who opened our bottle of wine seemed nice enough, but didn't even have the proper equipment to open the bottle without leaving the plastic wrapper around the top. I let him know that at home, I have a tool to remove that wrapper, he didn't seem to know that such a tool, other than a butter knife, existed.

I'm hoping that this feedback helps you prepare for another event in the future and that your staff learns to serve the meal in a more timely manner.

I did message the owner of The Patterson, unfortunately, it's more than 24 hours later and I've not yet received a response, although it shows that the message has been read. This makes me feel like they don't care that we didn't enjoy our evening.

The venue is great and my daughter’s wedding was beautiful; however, a group of people walked in the venue before the wedding and they were shown around while we were getting ready. I understand that they walked in without an appointment, but the staff actually showed them the bridal room where we were getting dressed! Unacceptable in my opinion.

Elegant location in the heart of downtown Valdosta. Wonderful for any event especially weddings. I love shooting events at the Patterson!

If you enjoy ambiguous, inconsistent responding, this is the place for you. If you enjoy contracts that, in the words of an attorney, are extremely elementary and not well-written, then this is the place for you. I have text messages where we asked the owner very specific questions, and the responses were always vague and beating around the bush. Anyone who understands planning a wedding, knows the stress that goes along with it. Ambiguity from the owner as you are trying to nail down specifics for guests that are traveling over 5 hours to attend your wedding, is least ideal. It was evident after submitting a certified letter to break contract due to the madness, there was little to no sincerity in the heart of the owner to write the incredible wrong that was done by not providing adequate answers to our questions. In the end, the whole situation felt like a scam. We will never do business with the current owners again.

The venue is gorgeous. Elegant and clean. I will definitely be planning other events at this venue. Reasonable pricing and services.

I visited this place for a old & sexy event? Oct.23 2021 the show was suppose to start at 6 p.m. we listen at music til 9:30 before the first performer started,and it was after 12 before the main performance of Calvin Richardson came on stage I am giving the building 4 stars it was very nice place for a not to big crowd I don't really know the name of the promotion of the show that was held there,but I wouldn't want to go to another one Calvin did a good job,but the show lasted too long it wore everyone out with all the waiting
