An excellent park to go for a walk or run. There is still some damage to the boardwalk from past storms. The park is pet friendly in the off season. Parking is ample in the off season as well. The park is a few minutes away by car from downtown Niantic

This is a fine old building that’s been shut down for some reason. The state has a wealth of architecturally cool buildings like this one that are just waiting to fall down in a decade or three! Wish I could find out more, but most of my searches didn’t amount to very much.
I just found out that the name of this is The Ellie Mitchell Pavilion.

I will start this review by saying that I have not been in the Pavillion at Rocky Neck. We walked our dog around the building on a few occasions. The Pavillion is closed off-season, when you can walk pets on the beaches. The Pavillion is, I believe, a Depression-era building. From the outside, it is amazing. You can get to it by either driving/walking up from the beach lot or walking over from the beach.
