I want to start by saying that Lisa and Charlie were absolutely the best!!! We were married April 5th, it was raining and flooding everywhere and people had a hard time trying to get to The Ridge, but Lisa and Charlie were so supportive and never let me think that my day wasn’t going to be the most perfect day. They both keep us mostly me motivated!! She told me that if it rains on your wedding day that it was good luck!!! Right before the wedding started Charlie stuck his head in the room where I was and told me I had a full house and all my worries were over. I TOTALLY recommend The Ridge at Little Creek! You won’t be disappointed!!!!

I was recently a guest at this beautiful venue but unfortunately the experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the owners. From the moment the other guest began to arrive, the owners were noticeably overbearing- constantly monitoring, interrupting conversations, and enforcing minor rules with an unnecessarily harsh tone. Several other guests mentioned feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed, which is not what you want on a day meant to celebrate love and joy. While the space itself is lovely, the lack of warmth and professionalism from the management made it difficult to fully enjoy the occasion. I would recommend couples consider other venues where hospitality and respect are prioritized.

I will start out by saying the venue is beautiful and the price point is unbeatable. After that everything falls short. We were initially promised months before that we would have cabins to stay at the night of the wedding, but a week before the wedding we found out they would not be ready so we had to find elsewhere to stay the night. It seemed like we would constantly be told one thing and the opposite would be true. We asked the owners several times about the parking situation and they insisted it would be fine; however, nothing was marked off the day of the wedding, and two of my guests got their vehicles stuck. Charlie was trying to initially call a tow truck and make the guest pay for the tow, even though he had a tractor that could pull them out for free. Fortunately, he did not make my guest pay for it, but if it was communicated before hand on where to park this would’ve been avoided. Next, if you are going to have alcohol or little kids at your event, I highly discourage you from choosing this venue. Charlie followed me and my groomsmen around all morning while fishing the pond that we had permission to fish rather than doing his own thing. Side note here, he said multiple times that he would rather be watching the baseball game throughout the day, and we wish he would have. Once we were tired of that, we went inside to grab a drink from the bar where he proceeded to start ID’ing my groomsmen (who were known to be 21+) instead of letting the bartender do their job. The owners later kicked one my friends out (21+) for bringing a beer in from outside because it was “against the contract” (which seemed to change to whatever the owners wanted the day of) and Charlie proceeded to get aggressive with my dad and spitting in my friends face. On to the kids section now. The contract states that kids have to be occupied by an adult at all times. We followed that rule just fine, but owners still proceeded to yell at the little kids in attendance quite often. One got yelled at for standing on a log, and another got yelled at for picking up a pine cone, even though an adult was supervising them the entire time. The other issue we had was using Lisa as a coordinator. We paid her to coordinate; however, we were behind schedule the entire day and when it came to ceremony time my officiant had to be the one to initiate the beginning because she was nowhere to be found. This was just our experience with these owners, and I will reiterate once again the venue is absolutely beautiful and the price point is exceptional. I highly discourage anyone from using these people unless you want to pay to be babysat the entire time.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Ridge on 04/13/2024. To say it was everything we ever dreamed of would be an understatement, and Charlie and Lisa made it all possible. They did everything we asked and followed our wishes to a tee. They were so friendly to our families and guests. It was a beautiful wedding. We had many compliments from our guests on the decor, food, and venue. We would recommend The Ridge to anyone looking for a place to be married.

Everything was wonderful and Mrs. Lisa was so sweet and went above and beyond to make my husband and my wedding the greatest day of our lives from the second we stepped onto the property to tour it until the second we left on our wedding night. We paid to use their decorations and for them to decorate for us and to have them cater. All of which turned out great. The only thing we had an issue with was on rehearsal night. Mr. Charlie seemed to be struggling and was clearly very exhausted and short tempered to me and to the wedding party. It definitely caused me some discomfort and stress to not know how wedding day was going to be. However, everyone has bad days and on wedding day he was back to his usual talkative and helpful self. I share this to just say that these people are human, they give their 100% the entire time. Please remember that sometimes 100% looks a little different. I specifically mentioned Mr. Charlie and this interaction because of some bad reviews regarding him but he genuinely wants the day and experience to be perfect for you just like his wife. He went above and beyond too. Overall, everything was great and they helped in ways I would’ve never thought of. I chose this place because the venue was beautiful and the owners made me feel like family when we toured and I honestly think both Mrs. Lisa and Mr. Charlie were phenomenal. Thank you guys so much for everything and I’ll be recommending y’all and the venue to others!

Reminiscing of my class reunion at The Ridge last year I recall what a pleasure it was to work with Charles and Lisa to make our reunion experience as complete and joyful as possible. The venue, food, and planning exceeded our expectations. Thank you both.

My daughter's wedding was just held here, the venue is just beautiful! Charlie and Lisa work so hard to make sure everything is perfect. With as much or as little involvement as you want, they will do almost everything for you. They decorate, they clean up, they will cater your event if you want them to. The food they did for us was absolutely top notch delicious. They are so warm, friendly, and helpful that they took about a thousand pounds of stress off of me. I was able to just enjoy the day with my daughter knowing that everything was being taken care of. Two things you need that are invaluable: a good wedding planner/coordinator and this venue. I can't recommend them highly enough and I hope my second daughter chooses this venue for her wedding too!
