Extremely disappointed and frustrated with The Rubi. I have been planning for my wedding that is in 40 days and have gotten nothing but horrible communication. The initial meeting, just to view the venue, they showed up late and I should’ve taken that as a sign. Now months later, after going through 3 wedding coordinators, I couldn’t take it anymore and decided to find a different venue. There has been little to no responses, excuses and absolutely no support throughout the whole process. The Rubi is gorgeous and I’m saddened, but until they get their sh*t together I would not recommend this venue. How is one supposed to trust that on the day of my wedding everything will magically fall into place? It would’ve taken a miracle.

My Daughter planning ahead several months for wedding in December has gotten no support and assistance from this venue, now on 3rd wedding coordinator with no communication or response to her texts and calls, she is having to change venues so she doesn’t become overwhelmed with anxiety that nothing will be coordinated as she wants. Stressful time as it is this venue offered no help only MORE stress.

Fantastic venue- history, upscale, special without being overly fussy. Delicious food and drink catered by Brother John's so you know it's first class in every way. Helpful, professional staff ready to assist in every way. 5 out of 5 stars.

The venue is beautiful and my wedding was perfect!! However, there needs to be some work done on the house if you decide to stay overnight. The master bedroom shower had very little pressure and was hard to turn on and every clock in that house needed batteries. There's only 1 TV and that's in the cigar room where seating is limited. You can have up to do many people stay with you but the hot water didn't last!
As for using this venue for your wedding, be prepared to do everything yourself as there are no staff to help. I was told the venue could hold 150 people, however there were not enough chairs to cover that and I really had to work hard to ensure they had 15 tables.
Overall, I loved the place and would highly recommend it!!

Most beautiful wedding venue! You can stay the night in the mansion too with your whole family. They opened up right around the pandemic so I didn't know anyone who had gotten married there before me. I had always thought it was a gorgeous mansion and was so happy to find they opened as a venue.

While looking for a wedding venue me and my fiancé decided to tour here. The historical building and atmosphere are great, and much of the interior is very well-maintained and beautiful. While these were all huge bonuses for us, there were drawbacks that made us decide not to have our wedding here. The house is described as holding a capacity of 125. We found this number hard to imagine, even with their open courtyard space. If you were to have a wedding here, the courtyard would be able to host both a ceremony and reception, however, there would be no space for dancing. Another drawback for us was the kitchen. While they have a fully functioning kitchen we were told that for caterers it is supposed to only be used for warming and they would need a restuarant license/permit. We also were told that a professional wedding planner was required for all weddings there. The last major deciding factor for us was parking. While there are parking spaces along the streets, guests would need to pay for them. There was no designated parking the wedding party could use either. We were told ubering was expected for the venue, but that doesn't exactly work for some of our families who are handicapped. Overall, this is a beautiful venue, but it does not meet all the expectations we had of it before touring. Hope this helps other engaged couples!
