Drove for 3 and a half hours to see the museum only to find a note on the door saying they are closed for January and February. They really need to update the internet with their closed hours.

The ideal place for a pilgrimage of any Star Trek Fan! Very ambitious stuff, free entry and a lot to see! Don't miss the statue of Jim Kirk and the stone beneth the cityhall. Maps are provided at the museum. They also have a very cool and rather large giftshop!

For a Star Trek geek like myself, this was an awesome stop on our way out to Montana! Lots of memorabilia, signed photos, actual props and items from show/movie production and items for sale! Had a great time talking "shop" with one of the owners and learned a few things about the Trek universe that I didn't know before. The whole town of Riverside seems to have embraced the "future birthplace" of James T. Kirk wholeheartedly, which makes it even more fun! Their street signs even have a "swoosh" emblem of the Enterprise on them! Just awesome! What a fun way to spend part of our day!

This is a free museum. They have an extensive collection of multiple generations of Star Trek Memorabilia in the heart of the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk, Riverside, Iowa. This is a must stop for all fans of all generations of the Star Trek franchise. We enjoyed the interactive displays, set displays, and other collectibles on display. We were able to support the museum and pick up a few memorabilia at the gift shop. I would recommend the lego-like brick build! I would recommend the visit. They had some great volunteers manning the museum when we were there.
