The Witt House is an amazing venue! The venue is beautiful. The owner and staff are helpful and accommodating. We recently had my sister's celebration of life at The Witt House. It was absolutely perfect. The food was wonderful and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They made our hopes for her Celebration of Life a reality. We are forever grateful! Thank you!!

Beautiful venue, great spaces for everyone to get ready. Love all the options! The owner was wonderful and talked for a while with my husband about their love for bourbon. Highly recommend for events!

Just had my wedding there and we decided to go ahead and book because we were told that the rehearsal dinner was included. Turns out it, it wasn’t. Jody said it wasn’t in writing. We were told that beer and wine were included in the price of the catering and liquor could be purchase. We weren’t told until the day of the wedding. Jody apparently “broke his phone” and lost all of our agreements. I was told by another person that he told them the same thing when they had their wedding there. They have two different contracts, one for the rehearsal dinner and one for the wedding day. the one we got was very basic, didn’t explain anything and ambiguous. My husband has a 12 minute recording of Jody yelling and getting angry. It was A LOT of miscommunication throughout everything. A lot of he said/she said. If I can give you one advice before booking this venue, make sure you get everything in writing and make sure the contract it itemize. Make sure the contract has everything that Jody promises. Overall the venue was beautiful and the food was good.

Beautiful venue but very disrespectful owner. My sister recently got married here. The owner had told them they signed a different contract than the original. There was misunderstandings about beer/wine being included in the quote. My brother in law has a recording of the owner yelling at him for about 20 minutes. If you plan on booking with this venue, make sure you sign the original contract.

Venue is great. The owner is not. He is very unorganized and unprofessional. If you do choose to work with him, get an itemized contract and demand a copy of it.
I was a groomsmen for a wedding here and our wedding rehearsal was rescheduled last minute because the owner started he had lost the original contract and withdrew giving us the day for rehearsal because he sold it to another wedding last minute. He did similar things with many other items, like drinks for the groomsmen, messaging the bride-to-be hours before the wedding to tell her beverages wouldn't be included. Even worse, when we brought these items to him, he screamed at us for ten minutes straight. We later learned from our florist that he has done this to multiple people. I will not go near this place in the future

The highlights of this review are that the owner of this venue is very unprofessional. If you choose to book here, you should make sure that you have an itemized cost and services list provided in the contract. It is very vague and open to interpretation in parts. Also go look at their Facebook reviews. There are many more there talking about what a nightmare Jodi was to work with.

I will only comment here on the things I personally witnessed and know to be 100 percent factual. I was one of the groomsmen this past weekend at a wedding here. I had spoken with my friend the week of the wedding and was aware there had been some miscommunications with the venue. During the reception, I was there when my friend the groom found out about additional problems. There had been some messages the day of the wedding regarding the bar. My friend was under the impression that the beer to a certain amount was included in the cost. Not that it was free but included in the quoted cost. Naturally he wanted to talk about these issues before he paid. He asked me to be part of that conversation to act as a witness.

When the owner arrived, he immediately began by being aggressive and yelling. We remained calm telling him that this just needed to be a conversation. He continued to yell and attempt to intimidate us and even called the cops saying he would have the groom arrested. His behavior was atrocious and unprofessional. It could be compared to a child throwing a temper tantrum which is why I chose to leave a review. He went round and round saying, "I can't just give beer away for free. I'll lose my license." Each time he said this (which was over and over again) we said that we didn't expect it for free but that the groom was under the impression it was included in the cost. When the cops arrived, the owner instantly was calm and tried to say he only called them to make sure "nothing would happen since it was late and he was here by himself" (he wasn't. His staff were there). The groom told the cops then that we were all being calm and that he had the entire conversation recorded to prove it. It was then that the owner finally showed us text messages sent to the bride the morning of the wedding asking about the bar. Not sure why you would bother a bride the morning of the wedding but needless to say she agreed to the cash bar without realizing what was being asked.

I own a business. I understand that miscommunications happen. Jodi handled this situation horribly. If he had been calm and started with the text messages, it wouldn't have turned into a half hour ordeal. The venue was nice and the staff as well. My entire issue is with Jodi and his man child behavior.

I will never recommend this place or give the owner any of my business here or his restaurant JW Steakhouse because of how he treated me.

Ive been very conflicted on whether or not I should even write a review but honestly my experience with this place was extremely disappointing that if I’m able to save someone else’s wedding I feel like it’s worth it

I had a misunderstanding about something I was under the impression that certain things were included in the venues price and when I brought up my concerns after my wedding the owner yelled at me for 20-30 minutes, conducted himself in an extremely unprofessional manner, acted like a child and put words in my mouth that I never said and ended up having the cops called when the cops arrived he tried to say that he was scared for what I and a few groomsmen would do with him being alone at night, but neither me or anyone on my side ever raised our voices or was anything but cordial with him, he wasn’t alone the Dj was still there as well as his staff fortunately I had a recording of the whole interaction and the cops left without any issues
I really just wanted to talk to him before I paid for the venue which I had full intentions of doing I just wanted to clear up something’s before i paid.

All I will say is if you do plan on using this venue I would suggest getting everything promised in writing.
