Just a lazy afternoon at one of the lock dams. The Montgomery old steam ship let's you step back in time. The glimpse backward makes you appreciate the time that technology has moved forward. There are some rocking chairs on the second deck outside of the mess hall where we sat and ate our lunch with a cool breeze Whispering over over us as we looked out across the river. The old steam ship it's a sight to see if you are a history buff of the Americas. You can climb up into the captains chair top deck and enjoy the 360 View imagining that you were in charge of the crew and all of the steel beneath you.

Great recreation of an old style home with lots of information concerning the Tennessee Tom Bigbee waterway and the adjoining lock and dam.

This could be a magnificent place to visit. Unfortunately, it is in absolutely horrible disrepair with a rotting, paint-peeling structure, uncut grass and weeds and tree limbs everywhere. It truly looks abandoned and on the verge of collapsing. Who is responsible for this place?

Interesting building in the middle of nowhere! Building is an architectural combination of three houses. Only a skip and a hop from the Mississippi state line.

I enjoyed our "tour guide", the house and seeing the dam and locks. We could not go into the museum because ? it was raining?
