Best vacation ever!!! Thank you Debby for making our vacation to Costa Rica so wonderful. Everything was as you said it would be. She arranged great travel, a beautiful resort and wonderful adventures during our stay. Everything happened as planned, we were never disappointed. I will use Debby again and again. She is honest, trustworthy, precise and makes its happen. I would certainly recommend Debby Harter and Travel Tamers for your next adventure.

A trip like this one takes months of planning and preparation. Debby is there every step of the way and responsive to all questions and inquiries. And, believe me, we called A LOT!

It was a great idea to add a day on either end. We loved the small size and history of Belfast City. Our day in London after getting off the ship was one of the best weather-wise and how much we packed into sightseeing in the city center.

The Oceana cruise was our first on that line and we'd do it again. The ship was easily traversed and smaller than some we've been on. They have very few inside state rooms, so the ship is not as wide, but still plenty tall and long.
Our room was on the concierge level and had a balcony, plus perks that come with that level of room. We loved the private deck and huge jetted hot tub in the front of the ship that is reserved for concierge level and above. We saw only 5 or 6 other people up there, during our 10 day cruise.

The room is nicely appointed, especially the bath and bed. Our room steward team was stellar. Lots of room for both our clothes with luggage under the bed. Lots of storage in the bath, as well.
The shopping was pricy and not as extensive as we've seen on other ships. There were shows nightly and enrichment speakers daily. We enjoyed high tea twice. Adorable little sandwiches and desserts. Oceana is famous for its food and they did deliver. The portions were not huge, but you could add more, if you wanted. We tried all the specialty restaurants once. Book your dinner reservation times early, if you don't want to be eating at 8 or so every night. The shows start at 9:30, so we were late arriving most nights.
We also tried to book excursions way too close to the cruise and ended up out of luck pretty much every day. You can book excursions a year out (as Debby told us!) and we didn't.
The ship used tenders in a majority of its stops on our cruise, due to the smaller ports it visits. This adds a lot of time to the return trip. We arrived one day after three buses had just disgorged their passengers. It was a long wait!!

Destination transportation is tricky. Taxis are very expensive and there's not as many as you'd expect... a lot of times, none. Local trains and buses are usually available, but figuring them out is challenging. Thankfully, a lot of places have small information kiosks with very helpful people.
Before you book your cruise, research the ports to be visited and nearby cities advertised, because they will not be the same. The port areas are usually nice, but the 'stop' listed could be miles away. Because we were on our own so much, getting to the cities was our biggest hurdle and then we really walked a lot of steps. Our day in Dublin was probably 7-8 miles of walking!

The clientele was older and seemed to be Oceana 'regulars'. We were not put off by this, because there is always someone your age and most people are friendly. There was a pretty good crowd every night we went to the late night (11pm-1am) dance party. It's always good for people watching!

Again, we can't say enough about Debby and her knowledge, response time and helpfulness. We've been using her for years and will continue to do so!

She has explained and secured all the facets of the trip (flight, insurance, cruise packages, etc). Debby also has gone “above and beyond” when she was able to contact a cultural center for me about tickets to their performance which I was not able to do! Debbie Harter did a fantastic job with our river cruise. She arranged an AMA River boat cruise in Mar ch 2023. We visited Madrid, Spain and took a paella class and tour historic sites. Then by train into France and boarded our vessel. We had wonderful side trips including going to a truffle farm and hunting black summer truffles with labradors, then enjoying wine and truffles shaved on French Bread with local truffle infused olive oil. We ate at 3 - three star Michelin restaurants. In the end we enjoyed Paris! kudos to Debbie for a memorable trip. We will have Debbie continue to organize our world wide adventures!

I would never plan a trip without using the services of Travel Tamers! They listen to, and always fulfill my requests. All the accommodations have been always way above my expectations: reasonably priced, charming, clean, friendly and located on the transportation line.
Most important...I was stranded without a hotel one night. I called my booking agent in the middle of the night in a panic. She calmly checked the booking, made a few calls and within 15 minutes I had a room. I just know that they always back up their customers. I know that when I leave for a trip, if I have any concerns, I can call Travel Tamers to solve the problem. It just feels safe to know I have their support and I can speak to a real person any time who will help 24/7. I give this company 5 stars!!
