Kelsey Dugan is the claims adjuster assigned to my case and is described as a "claims professional." Initially, she handled the claim diligently, admitted fault, and confirmed that the company would cover the damages. However, the process quickly became problematic.

The company strongly encourages customers to use their preferred repair shops, despite state law allowing individuals to choose any shop. They have refused to accept a bid from my preferred shop, even though it is entirely competitive. Additionally, they require customers to download a specific app to grant them access to their devices for a virtual damage assessment. This approach is ineffective, as proper damage evaluation typically requires a hands-on inspection by a body shop. Prior to this, I had already submitted multiple photos via the phone and website, yet they continue to request additional documentation, unnecessarily prolonging the process.

Currently, the claim is still in progress, but communication has been inconsistent. Responses to text messages take days, if they are answered at all. Phone calls are rarely returned, and while emails are eventually answered, there are noticeable delays. Based on my experience thus far, I would not recommend using Travelers Insurance. I will update this review as the situation develops, though I fully anticipate continued challenges and resistance. Proceed with caution.

Travelers Insurance has very bad claims & customer service. I opened a claim when my home was hit by hail and strong winds from multiple tornadoes that were within 1 mile from my home over the past year. The adjuster and manager came out to inspect with the drone, said the hail was not big enough to cause the damage to my roof. They do admit that I had damage to my roof but are not willing to admit it was from the hail we had because their hail report says it was too small. I personally found a report by the national weather service for my neighborhood that clearly shows over the last year, during the time period of my policy that we have had hail/wind that has been a range from half-dollar size, ping pong size, quarter size and Travelers is unwilling to accept this reality. I attempted to speak with a customer service personnel, a claims director, and the consumer affairs department at Travelers and just kept getting sent back to the adjuster and manager. I continuously showed proof that the weather that actually occurred at my home was different than the report they use and yet they still denied and unwilling to approve my claim that should be covered by my policy. I am frustrated because other homes around me covered by other insurances are getting their repairs and yet I am not. Travelers just deny a claim and as a customer you have no ability to dispute the denial of the claim.

I faced similar issues when I first signed up and they sent some third party to measure my home square footage, they measured it wrong and increased my premium, I then had to contest this error and had to show proof multiple times by going to my county board to obtain the plot information of my home. They will force unexpected increase in costs constantly and you need to contest and bring proof on ever level to not be over charged. Very unprofessional experience on every aspect as a consumer and would not recommend this to anyone that wants insurance with a company that cares about its customers.

Thanks to Jaime E and colleagues for great service. My car was t-boned on the passenger side by a dear friend whose husband was dying. She and I have been travelers policy owners for many years. Although their rates may appear higher, they are worth every penny. They made it easy for us to navigate the repair during a difficult time.

I really do not care for this insurance company, I went from 87 dollars a month my first year to 137 the next year ok no problem. I ended up switching states so the payment went up to 500 dollars a month plus they never ended the other state insurance policy, even tho the guy stated it was all set . Which this was the first time this has ever happened to me with any insurance company. So with that being said I got charged 637 dollars for the month . And to top it off once I canceled it completely cause I got quotes for 90 a month they just secretly charged me again . The one star is only cause I could give less . Please stay away from travelers they will blindly take your money from you .

Would give 0 stars if I could.. Ive been a reliable great customer for homeowners ins. for 3yrs. and I call to get questions to see if its worth making a claim an long story short I went ahead an paid out of my own pocket, fastforward 18months later and I had a major water damage an did file that as a claim well they actually did payout $50k due to this damage, so therefore after actually having to not only take my $ for yrs. They had to cover my damage so they decided to not renew my policy stating its due to you having 2 claims, which again I had asked questions but never filed a claim. Its their way of going between the lines to not cover some1 that they couldnt only take $ from monthly an not have to help. This is the 1st time ever in my life I had to ever file a claim due to damage an Im 37yrs old. So its not like im out to get them. They dump you really quick if you have a claim that takes $ from their pockets. So I highly dont reccomend them.... 4 Out of the 5 agents I spoke with about this said it sounds ridiculous that they would do this an agreed with me.

Horrible agency. I would not recommend to anyone. I have had an ongoing issue with them for over a month! Each time I call, the rep says it's either resolved or will be resolved in 24 hours and it never happens. Now, I received a letter saying my auto policy was cancelled and got charged a cancelation fee, which I was told I would not be charged! They cancelled my auto because I didn't turn in proof of prior insurance, but when I called in about this, they said they do have this information and they didn't need anything else. Multiple agents have told me the same thing, yet I still got a notice about this. I have proof of when I sent this documentation too! I have asked for a manager to call me and I've been waiting. I get the run around every time I call and they always says I would hear back soon for an update... Again... these reps have misinformed me and have lied to me just to gain their business. The next step is to contact the BBB.

Do not get Travelers for Insurance. They will give you little to no money and ignore your calls and emails for supplementals and basically drop you from coverage. Horrible company that can burn in hell.

worst auto insurance ever
all they do is constantly call me for no reason to confirm my details and give me nonsense action items when I already paid my policy in full. Go with Geico, Statefarm, anything else. You have been warned.
