Not a place you're going to just drive by, but I'm glad we took the time to go. Very rich history here to be discovered. It's worth the effort to visit this site.

Very special to see this 200-year-old inn on the SC-GA state line, with so many of the original, preserved furnishings that belonged to the family who owned it. It's like stepping back in time. Very fascinating to learn about how people lived and tavelled here in those times.

Mr. Hawkins, who I would assume is the primary guide here, as the property is only open on weekends, is a very nice and informative gentleman. The price of admission and the self-guided tour is meager, and it's fun to seek out the interesting pieces from the video you're shown at the beginning.

I lived in Northeast Georgia my whole life and nvr knew this place even existed. Absolutely BEE-U-TEE-FUL buildings and grounds to walk around and a small fee to tour the main home. Very informative and very interesting to hear tha history.

Beautiful historic site. Loved that basically the entire main house could be viewed. Nice introductory video gives you some clues on what to look for as you complete your tour. Guide was helpful and checked in periodically but let you explore on your own. Basement kitchen was really neat. Look for the short doorways! Plan on spending about an hour and a half if you like reading the plaques and signs.

A small but very interesting 1800s historic stage coach inn just off of US-123 near the GA/SC line. It's not a place to drive a long way just to see, but if you're in the area it's very much worth stopping to see. Take note that it's only open on weekends.

This was an unexpected historical site. We saw the sign for the place a few weeks back and decided to go back and check it out. In it's day this was a well to do inn for travelers on the stage coach road connecting Georgia and Tennessee. The old inn is beautiful and a lot of historical facts. The first woman to vote in the state of Georgia, and only woman to vote in the state period, was the daughter of the owner of this inn. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Gave me some facts about the house and then let me walk through alone. It does cost to go through-$5.50 per person. It is only open on weekends, Sat. And Sun only til 5pm. If you like history and historical architecture, stop here

If you're into history and touring old houses, you must check it out! This place was so cool and so interesting. You can tour all of the rooms, and they are all furnished and have original things in them. There's a small gift area, the charge to get in was not bad. I think we paid $5 for adults, $3 for one child and $1 for my 5 year old.
