Looking over our itinerary and 500+ photos, it’s hard to believe we had so many fabulous experiences in our 7 night tour of Fruili, as well as our pre tour of Venice, and post tour of the Veneto and Lombardy.
The Fruili Veneto and Guiliana region sits between the sea and the Alps and has a history back to the Roman times and before.
Audrey proudly revealed the secrets of this magical part of Italy.
The Mosaic School; breathtaking UNESCO heritage site, Aquileia; beautiful Trieste; elegant Prosecco and Grappa tasting; visits to producers of San Daniele prosciutto and balsamic vinegar hosted by charming Friuliana.
The accomodation at Nimis, as a base, was wonderful with a traditional family restaurant and the family winery around the corner.
It was a 5 Star experience all the way.

Wow! Audrey shared her love of the region by taking us to family-owned producers of prosecco, wine, grappa. coffee, balsamic vinegar, prosciutto and more. No, we did not lose weight on this vacation........ We had a wonderful time, our fellow travelers were great, we had wonderful meals in small family-owned restaurants that you wouldn't/couldn't find on your own, including one in a renovated garage. That was a first for us! ? Audrey is warm, friendly, caring, and creative when the weather doesn't cooperate - what more can you ask for.
We saw parts of Venice we never knew about although we've been there a few times already. She showed us where the real people live, where and how they work. We went to one of the islands that 99% of travelers never go to. It was great!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week with Audrey and six other terrific, intrepid travelers. Audrey was (and is) incredible. She provided us with a very special trip. From gastronomic delights to insightful views into the region and its people and history. From wine tastings to mountain lakes. I've enjoyed traveling with Audrey several times. She recently organized my group of 7 friends/artists in her family region of Friuli and it was wonderful. Audrey handles all the arrangements and drove us in a very comfortable mini-Sprinter van. The Friuli region in northeaster Italy is a gem, showcasing many off-the-beaten-path sites. She included a visit to the mosaic school and a lesson in mosaic assembly which was so fun. Tailored to our preferences. I highly recommend Audrey to design your own personalized tour of Italy!

We have travelled extensively and always organised our own travels but this time we wanted someone with local knowledge to design an itinerary to ensure we had a more authentic experience. I found Audrey via a Google search and we met via zoom and explained what we were looking for. Audrey then designed and organised our self guided, self driving holiday for 3 weeks in Italy. We had the best time. Met some wonderful locals. The tour guides were always experienced and full of knowledge and passion. The route was interesting and her driving tips very helpful. The accomodation was exactly what we asked for. The weather was not in our favour some days and Audrey was available with alternative suggestions. If you are looking for someone to help plan your Italy trip - Audrey is the one!
