Do yourself a favor and book a kayak trip with Turtle Tides. We lucked out and ended up with a private tour with our guide, Tasha. She was so knowledgeable about the area. She shared so much information about the local wildlife, the marshes and the area. Super personable and sweet - we enjoyed our time with her. She even found two shark teeth for us to take home at Shark Tooth Beach since we weren’t having much luck!

My husband and his breakfast coffee buddies had the best of their time with Turtle Tides! ☕️ Rob and Tasha is been the best! The staff were exceptional and friendly.

Rob, the owner/operator and the guide was so helpful! 🚣‍♂️He clearly explained how to properly row, and he gave clear directions for where they were going next. 🛶He was knowledgable about the area and the nature, so they got to learn something new while rowing.

Turtle Tide are so knowledgeable of the water here on Jekyll and Saint Simons Island. 🌊 It sure is a Great experience! There’s Plenty of places to explore on the water and they saw quite a few dolphins and enjoyed watching the sea birds diving for fish. 💧🐟

OVER-ALL experience is 10/10!!!

We had the best time with our tour guide, Jim. We kayaked through some beautiful tidal creeks, walked on shark tooth beach, and then were able to watch manatees by the marina. We had so much fun and enjoyed learning about the coastal wildlife. We definitely recommend this tour!

We had a lovely time. Declan really knows his stuff both in the kayak and out. In addition to great information about nature and tips on kayaking, he gives excellent guidance on restaurants. Ask for him when you book your trip!

This was the highlight of our trip by far! Our guide was fantastic- supportive, knowledgeable, and fun! We saw the marsh up close and personal, a variety of wildlife, and even encountered dolphins! Hunting for shark teeth was an added bonus. We highly recommend!

Mike is an awesome guide. We have been on many guided trips in the past and Mike is by far the best guide that I have ever had. We had a late start due to another group being late but Mike kept us on the water as long as we wanted to be out. He is very knowledgeable about the area and you can tell he truly loves what he does. The trip itself was very enjoyable. We saw dolphins and many different species of birds. The trip was great for a beginner also. The area that you leave from is just a boat ramp so be prepared before you arrive because there is no gift shop or anything at the ramp. The entrance to the road that the ramp is on has a circle K that sells sun screen, hats, and clear waterproof phone bags. Make sure you bring some form of water shoes also. Crocs worked fine. A very nice trip. I highly recommend it.
