Always a great time on the river. I just used the shuttle service with our own equipment. Danny and Scotty (?) were awesome with communicating ahead of time and loved the history tidbits during the ride. Would give 5 stars but $50 is too much to charge for an 8 minute shuttle ride that is running with their tour customers anyway. Other companies charge $20 for different sections of the river. Of course I paid it because it was better than bringing two vehicles but felt like it was a bit of price gouging-won’t do it again.

What fun! Relaxing with just the right amount of excitement for first timers. Our guides, Danny and John, were great.

We did the water to wine tour that left from the Alcantara Vineyard. We met at the vineyard and were picked up by a van. Wyatt, Mark and Kenney drove us to the drop in point that was up river where the inflatable kayaks were waiting. After brief instructions we headed out on the water. There were some narrow runs of rippled water but mostly it was a gentle paddle floating down the river. Our guides were very knowledgeable of the area and sights along the way. They kept us moving and safe as we rolled through the ripples.

After 1 1/2 hours we ended at the vineyard. We walked through the vines and ended in the winery. We had $20 credit each for wine tasting and appetizers. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the view.

Danny and John were very cordial, on time and thorough in their instructions. We spent a great time kayaking!!
