We just got married in Wooster a few weeks ago and we used Village Catering and they were great. Very affordable, great communication, got lots of compliments on the food, it was hot and fresh, and they even sent us home with leftovers. The staff assigned to us were very kind and hard working. We even had a couple of special diet requests, which were accommodated with no problem (yes, there’s an extra charge, but they’re making specialty meals outside of your menu, of course its not going to be free). They accommodated a special request for two to go meals for our ring bearer and flower girl, as well as pulling aside appetizers for the bridal party since they were missing cocktail hour.

I had zero issues with communication, invoicing, price transparency, etc. My only complaint is that their travel fee is a little steep since we were literally 7 minutes down the road from their location.

A friend used them last year and had a great experience as well.

We used Village Catering for our wedding in October 2024 and were very impressed! Everything tasted just as good as it did at our tasting and guests gave many compliments! They were short staffed for our event, but thankfully I hired a day of coordinating team and they stepped in and helped out! The caterer was a doll though and everyone loved her! She worked so hard! A little pricier when it comes to catering, but you definitely get what you pay for!

Only giving four stars for the short staffing. Had we not had the day of coordinator I believe there would have only been one person staffed for our wedding and it would have really hindered the day. If you need a day of coordinator, check out The Elite Event Co! Lisha and her team saved the day!

Ali was absolutely wonderful to work with. From tasting to final details, she was easy to work with and very accommodating to our needs. Village catering is really a one stop shop with great food, table setup, and decor for rent. The servers at the reception were so nice and greatly appreciated. They always made sure we were happy and stayed the whole time. Everything was served using safety precautions and everything was boxed up neat. They went above and beyond our expectations.

Village Catering is great, they prepare so many meals for the taste test so there was no shortage of options to pick from. On the day of the wedding everyone was well fed and were very impressed with how good the food tasted! Throughout the entire process they were extremely helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We could not have asked for a better experience with them!

Village catering is the stingiest company I’ve ever used. We hired them for our wedding. Everything started off great until 2 weeks before our wedding we were told we owed almost $2000 extra for food servers to plate meals. They told us we had 1 week to come up with the money or we couldn’t use them, after already paying THOUSANDS of dollars we originally paid up front. We had no choice but to pay the extra since we would be out that money bc we didn’t sign a contract. Then they took all of our leftovers and threw them out even though we paid for that food. DO NOT trust village catering!!

Our guests could not stop ranting and raving about how great the food was at our wedding. I lost count of how many people came up to me during our wedding and told me so! It is almost two weeks after the wedding and they are still talking about it!
My sister used Village Catering for her wedding a year ago, and my now husband who works in the event industry said it was the best food he has ever had at a wedding. And a year later at our wedding it still held true!
Brian and his team went above and beyond to make our evening flow smoothly! He even surprised us with dipping oil for the bread at our tables.
Brian is very easy to work with and has very reasonable prices! We highly recommend Village Catering to anyone and will use them for all future catering needs.

I had to caterers lined up for my wedding reception, but the Village Catering company blew them out of the water. Ali Sprague was my go-to person and answered so many questions most dutifully and respectfully. The tasting that was set up for my partner and I was very well done. All the food was delicious! We received so many good reviews for our choice of beef medallion, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, apple pecan salad, and the tea we ordered for the tables was delicious! The day of the helpers were respectful and outdid themselves in being helpful! They did more than asked. Thank you.
