Excellent tour experience with my son, niece & nephew! Would definitely go again! We booked about a week ahead of time and arrived in Villisca a couple hours early to visit the antique shop Needful Things and visit the cemetery. Arrived early to our tour to see the gift shop and made a purchase to enhance our experience. Everyone we ran across in town was so nice and welcoming! Charming little rural Iowa town and going into the home was like a step back in time! 100% Highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in Iowa History, the Paranormal or true crime Enthusiasts!!

Not much really happened, flashlight did come on but after that not really much happened I really wished there was some cool stuff that went on but sadly nothing. Me and my family did have a cool time here I would definitely recommend to do a tour guide instead of spending the night cause like I said before nothing happened and $200 down the drain but it was a cool experience, church was such a lovely cat!

Had a great time staying overnight. Had the rempod going off a couple times. The other 2 reasons I traveled the 10 hours (other than the house) was the chance to meet church, and the man himself, Johnny. Johnnys knowledge of this houses history is incredible, and he couldn't have been more of a cooler guy to meet in person. I plan to go back again in the future.

We had quite the experience here! We ended up getting multiple CLEAR EVPs, as well as a photograph of a small child.

I was by myself in the house at one time, and I was heading up the stairs to take photos. And ended up hearing children saying “shhh shh be quiet, be quiet”. Which made my heart so sad honestly, knowing what happened to these children.

We caught a lot of words on the spirit box, in the house and at the cemetery.

Our EVPs happened upstairs, one of a man saying some sort of prayer in the children’s room. And the second EVP, was a little boy/girl saying “brother…..sister…”

I was physically touched at one point, on my arm. Like when a little kid pokes your arm. It was absolutely shocking getting this much activity between 1pm-4:30pm.

Before leaving the cemetery. I asked if I should go get some coins and small stones to put on the graves. And the spirit box said “Yeah!”. I came back and showed respect by gifting each one, and the spirit box responded with “That’s beautiful”.

We were getting in the car, and the song “Don’t you forget about me” started playing. Of course we will never forget you guys!

After the cemetery, we actually ended up getting a hand print on our windshield. Little finger prints.

There was really a huge connection made, and I left a changed person.

Our tour guide Emily, was fantastic! I feel like I honestly made a new friend, because she was so welcoming and had no issue mindlessly talking with me! Johnny was such a down to earth, funny kind of person! He takes such pride with what he does.

JOHNNY AND EMILY,
If you see this. Contact me, so I can send you the pictures and EVPs!

P.S.-Church the cat is my favorite!

It was very fun getting to look around the house. I got there early and the tour operators let me go inside and check out the house alone. I got a lot of activity on my EMF reader, which is odd given there aren’t many electrical devices in the house.

My second trip to Villisca. The house was pretty quiet this trip. Got a few things but still always worth the trip. A bit disappointed that with the new ownership, you have no contact with anyone except by phone. That being said, they were friendly and accommodating. We wanted to purchase some souvenirs but weren’t able since everything was closed up. I know you can buy online but that’s not what I wanted to do. The overnight stay is such a surreal experience. Def recommend going, but hope they become more interactive with visitors.

A legitimate haunt. Exceeded expectations. Captured very compelling evidence. The virtual tour was a great addition before investigating the home. We’re looking forward to returning in the future!

We went and explored the house with our two kids. The story itself is just insane. My oldest spent a long time in the attic by himself and said that he felt very strange after coming back downstairs to the parlor. My youngest was very calm which is very much not like him. We would 100% go back. Very eery. The hosts of the house were super nice and very willing to share their own stories of the house.
